Default 2014 STi and open source tuning

I have a 14' STi and looking to tune it via open source. I do not plan on tuning it myself but i want to become more familiar with what goes into tuning it. I have managed to log my car twice, one 3rd gear pull and one 1/4 mile pull. Everything seems to be good (can post logs later). Car is bone stock at the moment with some Nameless Performance Muffler deletes. I tried to use ECU Flash to pull a copy of the stock map but ran into an error and decided that is as far as i would go without some sort of direction. thanks!

just be aware there is a flash counter built into the factory ecu on 2011 and newer suby's so once you flash it they can tell and deny you any warranty(aka voids your warranty).Just to let you know.

Do you have definitive proof of this? As far as I know, this has been speculated on many times but I haven't seen any evidence that such mechanism exists. If new info exists, please post up as I'd like to review it. Not that it matters that much to me as I have 140 miles left on my warranty
