I plan on coming down to your RallyX. I'll probably leave after work on Friday night and stay with a friend in Mesa by Camelback Mountain. How far is the course from there (Mesa) and how long would it take for me to get there on Sunday. What time does it start and are you guys still planning a party on Saturday? Thanks!

It will be a long drive from Mesa. I would guess over an hour. Some of the other guys could give you a better idea as I live closer to the track than most.
I think our Saturday party has turned into an all day rally-x bbq party at the track. ![]() I am not sure if the Imprezas will be in the morning or afternoon run groups yet. |

Toolin,
I live South of Mesa, so I have about the same drive as you will. Leave yourself about 45 min to an hour and you should be OK (especially that early on a Sunday). Beware that the I-60 has been closed the last few weekends. I suggest that you take the I-10 West to the 303. Take the 303 North to Grand (or whatever it's called way up there). Alternately, you could take I-17 North to Bell road (or even as far as the 101) and head West to Grand. After that, follow the directions on the Speedworld web site. I look forward to meeting you there. -Bud |

tech starts at 0900 for the Am run... don't know if I'd take the 303 though, i haven't been on it recently, but I know it is under serious construction at Bell. Bud, you been on it lately?

A couple of months ago.
Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll take the I-17 to the 101 (to Bell, to Grand). |

Thanks guys!
I made a mistake when I said that my friend lives near Mesa, it is really Paradise Valley. Anyways, it looks like I am going to try to leave on Friday night. Spend some time with my friend and hopefully go to the barbeque on Saturday. 9:00am check-in, cool. How long do you guys think you will be running on Sunday afternoon? The drive back is about 5.5 hours to Vegas. By the way, is there a manual carwash near the course? I really hate driving a dirty Suby all the way back to Vegas See ya!Toolin |

If you take US60 on your way down from Vegas, look in Wickenberg for a car wash. Also, while in Peoria look for one, those will be the best bet, as the track is in the middle of nowhere...

The BBQ is going to be at the rally-x not on Saturday. Just wanted to make sure you know that.
