I'd say not. This is VERY likely your problem. Our cars must have a tune to use an intake. If anything, that intake has hurt your car. Don't suppose you have the stock intake? You might be ok with the catback but that intake is your problem.

And if you didn't get a tuner with your car, then it probably isn't tuned. I'd recommend you stay out of boost and get to a shop soon. I've got a Cobb Accessport Stage I tune on my car and am using the stock airbox. Intakes only provide around 5hp at the most. Sorry about your problem and I hope it hasn't done any damage to your car.

Im thinking its either a boost leak or I just need a tune for my exhaust and intake.
George is good he has installed all my fog and headlights with hid kit and I'm taking my car in January to get tuned for stage 3.

Oh and they are having a dyno day December 7th guys

I understand. George will let you know about the tune. I'd have said to get a Cobb Accessport for it and you could probably find one used for $400-450 but I don't believe their tune supports a K&N Typhoon Intake. Just take it easy on the car and see George as soon as you can. Best of luck.

There is a possibility your car has a tune, but you didn't get the tuner for it.
This was the case with my car. Dealer lost it.
I had to buy a tuner and get it tuned again anyway though.

That is true. Either way, I hope you get your car running well again. Travis, you get your new mods installed? DP and exhaust? Did you have the stock DP on before?

Man Grimmspeed prices have sky rocketed since they went main stream I remember when Grimmspeed was considered a genetic brand of car parts.

I'd still ask about that intake and whether you have a tune or not. It can still hurt your car. Sorry dude.

Good idea. I'll keep an eye out for a used Cobb AP if you decide you want to go that route. Best of luck sir.

+1. For George being a great guy. He's put an aweful lot of work into my car, and has always gone the extra mile to take care of me. He knows his way around a boxer engine pretty well by now. He had mine pulled out and disassembled just a few weeks ago.

Default Shattered aluminum revisted - non-Subaru

A while back I posted pix of a grenaded Evo engine. Finally got the OK for repair. Here is a better look at the externals. I did findthe bottom half of #3 rod - up in the hole in the front of the block. The top half of the rod was outside of the back of the block imbedded in the front differential.

Then we couldn't drive our "tuner" cars to the dyno day. LOL
I wouldn't waste money on putting my truck on the dyno.

I was wondering why I wasn't getting any alerts about replies I forgot we move to a new thread haha. Well fellow Subaru owners I felt a little embarrassed on the way home today, there was a white widebody WRX sedan that passed me and he had green LED strips inside the scoop and inside the side vents behind the front wheels. SMH... I like to think that Subaru owners are above a lot of that stupid trends and ricer stuff at least if you have a new car, but hey maybe he is just doing it because of Christmas who knows haha
