Default XPT Stage 3 VF43

Searched to no avail.

So I'm planning on running the XPT Stage 3 race map on my '06 wrx soon. I have everything but the turbo (walbro, 3 port BCS, CAI, intercooler & sti splitter...).

My question is: can I use a VF43 instead of a VF39 as it states in the specs?

I know this has been answered on the OSecuroms forums, but the mods on there have never accepted my requests to join the forum , so I am unable to view the responses they made.

How will the VF43 perform on my car compared to the VF39. (ignoring the fact that the map might not be optimal for it).

I'm running a VF43 on a modified XPT Stage 3 "non-race" map.
I made adjustments to the wastegate duty cycle table because I'm running a 3-port Grimmspeed BCS, and, at the time, the map called for a 3-port GM BCS.
Both VF39 and VF43 flow about the same, so I wouldn't expect any major perf difference.
If I were you, I'd get a wideband and I'd carefully datalog the car.
And you might want to make sure you've taken care of the basic maintenance items (spark plugs, in-tank fuel filter and fuel sock, chase down and fix any boost/vacuum leaks, clean your MAF and so on and so forth). Happy boosting !

Call/email XPT. Listen to what THEY say, no one else.

Thanks to those who have responded. Very good advice.

Ron, I've emailed Braden a few times over the last few months for various things. Never gotten a single response... I guess I'll try calling.
