if there isnt a hatch coming out in the 2015 model, i will have to strongly consider getting a 2013 model. ive been in the market but have been waiting til the time is right with the new body style release. i guess we'll have to wait and see

I'm on my 2nd Rex wagon; 02 and currently an 07. I would love to trade in my 07 wagon for a15 wagon but that isn't an option.

I don't have 25 posts yet...so I can't vote. But I was really looking forward to upgrading my base model 2010 WRX. I was just about to get a 2014 Limited STI but seeing as I would be getting almost the exact same car I decided to hold off (If I was going to spend the money upgrading, I'd at least want the car to appear different..a noticeable upgrade).

However, with the sedan version only being released, I'm not sure if I'll just hold on to my 2010 WRX for a while longer or possible looking for a hatch of a different kind. I have really enjoyed the versatility of the hatchback...while not being too long (or long looking) like a wagon.

I'm sad to hear that there's no wagon... hopefully that will change soon. I can't really see myself getting a sedan.

I have been holding off for two years, waiting to buy the new, and my third, WRX hatch/wagon. Unfortunately, I am predicting that Subaru will address the no WRX (or WRX-type) wagon situation within an additional year....when I will most likely be driving the new Golf R.

I can't vote so I'll just leave my .02 here. I drive the WRX sedan and have never once felt any kind of urge to have a hatchback anything, WRX or not. That being said, I think its incredibly silly to not offer the hatch option. There are so many subie enthusiasts that are die hard hatch fans. I don't know why Subaru would chose to toss that portion of the market to other auto makers. It's not like its hard to sell WRX's; and when you see one from the previous year sitting on a lot its almost never a hatchback.

If you have been here as long as I, you would see that this forum in general never seems to agree with what Subaru does with new models. The pig nose in 06 & 07, the hatch only STI in 2008 - 10, no auto in the WRX 2009 - 14, the rear wheel drive BRZ, and now the no hatch / wagon for 2015 for WRX. The list goes on and on, but Subaru keeps breaking sales records and meeting sales goals far in advance. What is posted on this forum has little influence on product offerings.

I voted "yes". I got a sedan for my first WRX because I thought the hatch was ugly. My wife got a Mazda3 hatch and I'm jealous of the room. You just can't beat the usability of a hatch when you have kids and a household, groceries, need to move stuff, etc. Meanwhile the looks of the hatch have grown on me, it's ugly but it's got a charm to it as well (especially in DGM or SWP).

We'd be looking at a 2015 WRX with a CVT to replace her Mazda but no hatch probably means no sale.

I said a sedan is fine with me. If the hatch looked good and that's all they offered I would be ok with that too. I just didn't like the looks of the previous hatches. I just want fun, four door and reasonable priced.

Going more off-road this time around, if the deal stays the same on my new order when it arrives, we'll see what Subaru offers in 3-4 years or so.

Remember everyone, the 2008-2009 WRX everyone hated. Then they added the wide body and face lift in 2010 and then people started really liking it and then 2011 came, the WRX we see and love now. So Subaru will probably change the body a little the next few years and hopefully when they do that the add on the hatch version.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect the rantings of NASIOC members to influence Subaru's decisions at all haha. I'm just surprised that they continue to crush their sales records while making these seemingly random decisions on new models. I guess we'll have to wait and see if they can keep up that streak. Anyway, for those who are devastated by the no-hatch news, the new Golf R doesn't look too terrible.

I'm the original owner of an 02 WRX sedan. I've had it 12 years this month. The best car I have ever owned. However, I should have bought the LGT 5 speed wagon in 05. With 2 kids and a house, I always need more room. Back then, I was hoping that wagon with the 5 speed was going to be available for a while. Now I'm starting to look for a new car. I was really hoping for the 2015 WRX or STi hatch for the extra room. There's not even a LGT to choose anymore. Th Acura TL SH AWD with the 6 speed is starting to look like an option. Its also disappointing to see Hyundai's 2.0L turbo makes more power than the new WRX engine.

I'm glad I got my 2014 Hatch as it was the body style I wanted and I do hope in the next few years they make a WRX hatch as I would love to have one for my next car. I'm not a fan of the looks of the new WRX, but I will keep an open mind when it comes time for a new car.

The hatch will make a comeback I'm sure, just like the STI sedan made a comeback.

They brought back the sedan because they couldn't sell the STi hatch. At one point you could get a 08 - 09 STi hatch for $7,000 below MSRP.
