Default Dealership Price Matching on parts?

Anyone know if any dealers around here price match www.subarugenuineparts.com/ ?

Would save me the headache of paying shipping and more peace of mind that it won't be damaged in shipping and or lost.

Subarugenuineparts.com is a dealer.

Best thing for you to do is start calling and asking.

Well I knew that, I meant more local dealers around here to avoid shipping.

Take the initiative. Let us know.

You realize that you're going to be paying tax on things anyway. What are you buying that you're worried about shipping costs?

I've bought quite a bit from Jamie. Everytime, I go to the local dealer and see what they can do for me and everytime, it's nothing. I can pay double or wait for a week for it to come from Washington. I mean double as in twice as much.

Wakefield Subaru by far has the best online "local" pricing: http://subaruofwakefieldparts.com/

I'll typically match online pricing with shipping, seems fair

just an fyi, even though SGP is run out of a dealership, they don't even make pickup available if you're local. I used to live in Seattle and was more than willing to drive there to pickup stuff... they wouldn't let me even if I still payed shipping and handling. They claim SGP is run out of a warehouse not on site at the dealership, makes sense. Even the dealership that runs SGP won't price match. Given that, you might get some pushback from dealers if you try to price match.

Looks like there's some other good local options though.

Not surprisingly, it's cheaper for them to drop ship packages. Think about it. If you order something online, they just have it drop shipped from the warehouse to you.
If you order something at website prices for pick-up, they have to ship it to their shop, receive it, store it, then vend it upon your arrival. Many extra steps.

I understand the economics behind it. I was simply stating that if the dealer that runs SGP won't price match, why on earth would any other dealer?
