I don't think I'm going to bring it in since I don't have any problems. If things don't work out with the SVX-T, and I return the RS back to stock prior to a turbo install, then I think I will bring it in.

Angry

My check engine light came on while driving calmly down the freeway when the car had just short of 5,000 miles on it. I was livid. That sort of thing is totally unacceptable on a brand new vehicle and I was on the phone with the salesman (not service) within 10 minutes, demanding that they either fix the problem promptly and fully or that they take the vehicle back and refund my money. They had the damn car for 3 days before their top tech (Thomas motors quality service department, don't you know) declared that the front O2 sensor was "lazy" and replaced it under warranty.

Yep, I got the recall notice. I think I've already taken care of the problem.

I'll whine right along.
It may be a little much to ask for a refund, but if that's what it takes to get a shop off their rear and install a part, then do it.

My CE light has been on about as much as its been off, been in the shop for it, but the shop manager said they couldn't determine the problem.

Yes- it it frustrating, but the recall notice will get their attention. 3rd time's a charm for the Lemon Law.

LOL! This coming from you! LOL!

How many times have you had cars in the shop for minor little noises. (And, I'm not just talking about the Scooby - I mean all your cars.)

...and you call me a whiner! Ha! That's a good one.

I'm on my second o2 sensor right now. I wonder if I'll get the notice. I never had a problem getting it replaced though, both times under warranty and same day. It just sucks seeing that CE light come on, freaks me out. I use Camelback Subaru. Their facility isn't as big as Pitre in Scottsdale, but most of the service guys there are cool. Ask to talk to Chris in service if you go/call there.

Thomas motor is owned by Tom Pitre and now he has sold it back to Bob Pitre. It will still be the same just a different name. Now it will be called 21 Bell. You are correct their service sucks. Have you tried their parts department? It would take all day and night to get a price and forget availability possibly a week.............

nick or olsonjj,
Are you talking about Pitre Subaru in Scottsdale? Or a different one? I haven't had to use their service department or parts dept yet. However my first 3000 miles is coming up in probably less than a month and I have a coupon for a free oil change. Guess I will learn then how it is.

Are you going to be at the Auto-X on Sunday?

Hello Nick,

I saw your name on the main page as the newest member of the i-Club. Welcome! Have we met?

Yeah, Thomas Motors blows.

(Maybe somewone who is no-longer really an Arizona local, but who has met a Subaru factory rep and gotten a ride in a new WRX could give us an SOA contact and help us get some better support in this state. If we only new someone who fit that description (Turbo4me).)
