Talking Scoob Newb

Hey NASIOC! I've been a member for a month or so now and finally have the time to make a thread introducing myslef. I'm 27 and have been in the automotive scene for the better part of 11 years, but cars have always been my passion. I've owned a lot off different vehicles, and I am now the proud owner of my first Subaru. A 2004 Platinum Silver STi which just turned 89K miles. I've done a lot of research so far, and most of the help I've gotten has been from posts already created by other users on this site. I always search before I post, so if I create a thread thats already been covered, it just means I couldn't find what I was looking for, or the info I was looking at doesn't spcifically apply to what I'm seeing. I'm not gonna lie, there have been times I just miss things too haha. My STi is not a bad work in progress, but it'll be a long road. I'm eventually going to start a build thread, but for now I'd just like to say hi to everyone, and I look forward sharing my passion with the rest of you guys!

Welcome. Go to local subie meets and talk with owners about their mods and goals for their cars. A good balance to what you read on the interwebs.

Coming up on the 100k timing belt service. Have fun with your car.

Thanks again! I'll see if I can get some pics uploaded when I get home, can't seem to figure out how to do it from my phone haha. I might take you up on that LarkenyceWRX! Considering I'm still learning the ins and outs of the car, a knowledgeable hand would be nice when needed! Whereabouts are you located?

Welcome! I've been in the automotive scene for only 2 years now... It started off with the Honda, now I'm onto the Subarus. Also working for radiator and condenser wholesale made me more passionate. It's always good to know your car inside and out. Enjoy!

Yeah i started off my first real project being a Honda back in '09. 91 Civic hatch to be exact. Rebuilt GSR swap, OBD1 through RyWire, Hydro GSR trans, stock internals made 172whp on the dyno and still running strong after almost 6 years. Just got a bunch of new parts for it right before i bought my STi. Kinda wishing i had held out so I could spend that on the STi, but oh well. I've always had a thing for Subaru's amongst others, but Honda's are just cheap to make decent numbers I guess. I get a lot of slack for owning a Honda, but I have a passion for all cars, and only true automotive enthusiests, IMO, can appreciate a nice build no matter what the Make/Model.

Scuba! I dont know whats going on with the PMs its not working for me...

Anyways you can pay with your debit card, but than there will be a fee. If you take the time to link your account up with PP than you can use their "e-check" feature in which no one pays fees. However, when using the E-check, the payment is not instantaneous and usually takes 3-5 days to show up in the other person's account.

So you can either pay with the card, pay the small fee and send the money instantly. Or, use the e-check feature, not pay any fees and wait 3-5 days for me to recieve the money, your choice.

Sorry for the thread jack, Ill change this message after you read it
