I haven't gotten a price on the o-ring job, but the oversized studs + machine work to make them fit is around $1300-1500 give or take, I imagine I'd be in it for another $500-1000 at least for an o-ring job

Glad to see more 2.34s, I wanted to go to Texas 2k...but even if I got on my fp red that seems to never want to show up it would be no fun compared to you guys.

Looking forward to seeing the results.

No problem, if you or anyone else is thinking about the 2.5i manifold, I'm trying to keep up with that...you can check that out here...

If you want to get the 6466 just go with a larger turbo back exhaust like a custom 4" and a 4" cold air intake that will put that lag in its place!

Lag is really just back pressure and pre turbo restriction. Good luck with your build!

Lag really isn't my concern, its more lift heads/blowing gaskets...if i can make in the same neighborhood power wise safely with a 6266 and spool 400-500 sooner, why not? If what it makes ends up getting boring over time, then maybe ill pull it, oring and go with some big studs and slap on a 6466.

Lag is more like lack of back-pressure...

I wouldn't even take my car down to TX2K, 700whp is nothing for that event.

Exactly...if you don't make 1200whp+ don't show...I believe last year the dyno day had a $$$ penalty if you put down less than 500 or something...

700 per side

To put things in perspective all the fast cars go 100-150 in 2.6-7s and 215-224mph 1/2 miles.
My 171mph GTR "only" goes 2.9 and 204

Unless your car traps in the 175-185 range you will get left way behind

More like 700hp and 1500lbs to run with the big boys since its basically a roll race event now.

At least you can go for a rip in my GTR if its done in time or my cousins 170mph one. Watch us get our asses handed to us lol

You don't need a ton of horsepower to have a good time in Texas. I'll have my sti there making around 500 and I'll be able to find plenty of races. I had my bolt on speed6 there in 2011 and had a blast. Beautiful build btw, I'm highly considering an mps 2.35 for my next build

Thanks! You'll get my opinion of it soon hopefully!

It's time for another update...thanks to Adam @ Somerset Subaru, I think I have all the subaru parts I could ever need lol...

UPS decided my injectors needed to vacation in PA, those will be here today

My turbo setup is waiting on the new Gen2 6266 (that was just announced a week ago) to show up @ JR's, that will go on later

I'm pretty sure my whole drive line setup is changing again, which would land my 07 6spd stuff in the fxt and my 05 6spd/r180 will go up for sale, as well as both my clutches (brand new act xd 6puck and used act hd 6puck)...details to come

Tomorrow is the day, motor goes together and my guess is the car will be running this weekend, if not it will be VERY close.

Just keep the 05 6mt and I'll take the 07! Ha. Sounds like the builds going fairly smooth, hopefully you can get it fired this weekend. My car starts and will idle about 30-60 seconds then gets super rich and dies. The destroker sounds buttery smooth though! Once Jr gets back with me on some map changes, I'm going to try and get some miles on it!

Update: We didn't get as far along as planned, things were going very smooth, until we couldn't hand thread one of the water pump bolts, turns out the threads were just crumbling...no big deal, or at least it isn't a big deal when your aren't out of M6x1.0mm heli-coils...so that put the brakes on putting the motor together for the night...heads are on, oil pump on, pickup tube, baffle and killerb pan all on...so we stopped and organized parts and called it a night, my buddy had to do some plowing so wee figured if we we're going to get the car running he might as well get some rest in before plowing...Sunday we ran my feed and return and secured it end to end, tested it, etc, i forgot to take pictures of it but i will later.

Saturday afternoon started like this:

and the night ended like this:

The pan is on too but i didn't take any pictures, I will next time though.
