Default Anyone need a new battery?

Then here it is!!!

The ultra lightweight battery that you all have been waiting for.

Battery weighs in at an even 15lbs which is 16+lbs lighter than the stock subaru battery. This thing is also very compact so for all the FMIC owners, you know you need the space.

It is also a dry cell battery so you can lay the battery on its side, standing up or upside down.

It doesn't matter!!

Also,For big audio guys,You can run 2 to 3 of these instead of capacitors and use the extra space for more speakers.

I put the 1st battery in my car before deciding to sell them to make sure they are up to par.And after 2 months and various little "tests" that I put it thru it passes.Definitly a upgrade from stock.

Similar batteries like the Dyna-Batt sell for over $120.00

So if I understand correctly this battery is "more powerful" than the stock one? Who makes this battery?

Thanks a lot

Heres the specs.

680 cranking amps
28 minute reserve capacity with 25amp load
Dimensions: inches (mm)
width 3.11 (79)
length (terminal side) 7.27 (184.7)
height* 6.67 (169.4)
Weight 15 lbs / 7.0 kg

I cant say if its " more powerful" than the stock one for sure because I dont know the stock battery specs,But I would imagine that this battery is at very least a equal.

Looks like another rebadge of the Hawker Genesis / Odyssey PC 680. Check this link for technical info -> http://www.stealth316.com/2-dynabatt.htm
Good battery - I have one in my other car. But no were near the cold cranking amps of a big lead acid battery.

Might want to also read the yellow box at the bottom of the above link. It talks about rebadged Hawker batteries.

Not say this is the case with the battery Nino is selling. I just wanted to make people aware that it can be a problem if it turns out to be rebadged.

Yes,It may not have as much power as most full size batteries,But for people who need the space or want the reduced weight it is well worth it.

Can I ask why you decided to make it orange? If it were a traditional black color I would buy one.

Will this cause my lights to dim? Right now I have a udp that causes the lights to dim *some*, would the lightweight battery make it do worse?

I seriously doubt it.

I have UDP's in my RS as well as HID's and my lights dont dim at all.Not even under heavy load such as if the A/C and stereo are on.

Nino,
How well do you think the batteries will work during a Chicago winter? Temps can get as low as -40F.

Thats pretty harsh for any battery.

They should work fine,But of coarse as the temp drops the cranking amps do as well.

I cant say for sure because I dont have such extremes to test the battery under.

Ill be "testing" it out, it gets colder out here in the sticks of the burbs of chicago than it does in Chicago proper.
