Default need help with wheel bearing

I should be getting a new wheel bearing and hub assembly next month at some point and I need some help getting it all in.
I'm in Midland and I have access to a lift and most tools apart from a press.

I would really appreciate the help and of course there will be some food involved.

Well I found the bearings and I'm talking with my local Subaru dealership. The parts manager is telling me no more than 300 for removing the old bearings and pressing in the new ones (both fronts). Is that a good price?

I'm no expert but the stealership will never quote you a good price. If I was you I would try out this man. http://www.tnaperformance.com/

Did you get just the bearings themselves or the whole hub assembly with the bearings? If its just the hub, that's decently easy to replace versus having to press in the new bearings.

Here's a DIY on removing the hub and pressing in the bearings if it'll help.

I have not ordered anything yet. I was told I could find the hub assembly with pre pressed bearing but can't find that.

Check with F&S auto parts. I got a (used) hub assembly and some brake parts from them recently.

I dont think anybody sells pre assembled hubs for your car. You would need the whole upright which is probably pricy. The later cars (08+) have bolT in bearing assemblies, which makes it a one beer clean job.

For you it is a 6 pack messy job if your a fast drinker.

Find a shop near by that you trust to push out the old bearing and press in the new one. I paid $40 to get the bearing pressed in when I did the job on my wifes Forester.
