is all red tail lights illegal? Like on the 2011 model. It looks better but dunno if I'd get into trouble for redding out the reverse lights

Yes it's definitely illegal to red out 100% of the tail lights, unless you add on some reverse lights elsewhere, like buy foglights and mount them on the back bumper then tie them into the reverse lights relay

I hated the look of the 06-07 lights when I 1st got the car cause they had the tint up top and left alone on the bottom so I did this... Closest thing I could get to 04-05 tails without spending $$

No, I have had them before and never got in trouble.. I've seen otherwise OEM tails all red so don't know why it would be illegal.

I dont want to hear how you where crying after you car burnt to the ground from those HIDs in your tail lights melting the housings.

I would not be surprised if 10+ seconds of use and those babies get fricking toasty hot

thanks man, i brought it to a tint shop by me and they have taillight film there and i was looking threw the colors and i found this, i believe it is called dark smoke, and what they did there was lay it over my taillights then cut it away to shape them. its some sort of film that is very stick on one side

If, in the process of making your tails all red, you also make your white reverse lights red, it's illegal. Tinting, also illegal. Does it stop people? No. Does everyone get busted? No. Doesn't mean that it's not illegal.

You may find, actually, that adding anything to cover your OEM lights is illegal ,including red, if your tails are clear. Don't know that for sure.

As your taillights are what keeps you visible, you might want to think twice about tinting too dark.
