Default Some Maps subdued in Rom Raider

New to WRX. Have 2 LGT's also. Just bought a 2006 WRX, pulled the map off cause I want to leave it stock for my DD. when I look at the Target boost with ECUFLASH/RR, many of the maps are subdued. If I right click on them to edit, it says I must edit 32BITBASE. My LGT's, all the maps are available and I can edit as I need to, got OS E-tunes on the LGT's.
I just want to see where the boost is at, I think it's been "adjusted". I want to put it back to stock etc. Do I have a ECUTEC or COBB lock?? IDK. Under ROM INFO, it says 05 STI.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mac

Huh? If you open the map from ROMraider you can edit any of the tables. You may have to change user level.

OK, My bad. It's been 2 years since I tuned, I have no idea why I was trying to adjust tables with ECUFLASH, brain fart. JonnyV2889, thanks for refreshing my memory!! RR ECU editor works fine. It's hard to believe the WRX feels so strong compared to a stock LGT wagon, but it is stock boost, now my stage 3.5 sedan is another story! Thanks again

ProfessWRX,
Well, I don't know how to use ecuflash to edit. I saw some options by right cliking but I didn't want to risk it. I am pretty good at tuning on romraider, not ecuflash.

R/Mac
Use RR. Ecuflash isn't nearly as user friendly.

Enlighten me then. You do realize the OP directly proves my point?

Is this your hobby? Pestering people with snide comments backed by failed logic? Shut up already.

Failed logic eh tooner?
How's that map look in romraider? lol
The op sounds like his defs or user level is the problem. You don't right click to edit. Just left click the box. Seems obvious.

What I was gonna say too. I hate romraider to be honest. Less function and friendly. Profess. I would bow out of this one man. Your gonna lose.

I will back down a little on this. I was using an older version of ecuflash on a Mac. I just checked it out for the first time in a long time and using keyboard shortcuts it's not really bad at all. Didn't look into it but if I could switch from Bar to Psi I'd use it instead of RR. And yes, now left click works too. Didn't prior for some reason. It's still not the most user friendly program.

Is there any alternative? I've been using this software thinking it was crap/on par with old obd1 software. But I have gotten so used to it and with it being free didn't complain much. The RR logger doesn't even work for me 9/10 times. The standalone op2 is what I've settled with.

All you have to do is install the standard definitions found on Romraider's site. I don't find the logger to bad, especially when using fast polling. 10X faster than the AP.

Romraider editor needs work but the logger is pretty decent. Try using cobbs logger. Thats pitiful compared to there editor which is great.

I just wanted to say I agree with Ed on the RR editor. ECUFlash as an editor is SO MUCH quicker to tune with.

RR editor was made by a programmer who doesn't tune, and it shows.

Ummm....no.

The issues with RR is, AFAIK, due to the fact that Java was used. In any case, both programs are needed. RR doesn't do reflashing and ECUFlash doesn't have a logger.

If ecuflash had a paid for version with a logger I would spend good money for it. I think ecu edits logger integrated with ecuflash would be a great program.

Been using Ecuflash for a couple weeks now. WAY better, still wish there were more tables defined. Used to tuning GM cars and the aftermarket PCM support is unreasonably good.
