Like everything except that scoop. They just don't fit the bugeye but to each his own.

This thread is turning out pretty well. I like the idea of doing something in the spring and/or all showing up to one of the big subie meets together.

Here is mine. The bra isn't on it anymore, I just haven't taken new pictures. It's completely stock right now but I plan on changing that. I've done a few things to the inside as of right now and I'll post some of those pictures later.

Anyway here's my first picture.

Two things: ehawthorne, I happened across your build thread on accident (then realized I recognized your car from this thread) and man, your car is an inspiration. Very, very nicely done.

Second: I was glaring at those orange side markers on the front fenders on my bug... I'm tempted to grab a little carbon fiber wrap and cover those up... would that be kinda ricey? Would that be a considered a dangerous modification? It takes away what seems to be the only reflector up there... but I mean... that's what the headlights are for, right?

It has been done and looks pretty good compared to the stock reflector. Here is what I have been working on the last few days. Wrapping some interior parts.

140k or so.

imnorobo, thanks... wasn't saying it was going to be anything unique if I did wrap em... just thought, "huh, if I could get some wrap... that would do the trick." And speaking of wraps, your console looks awesome! What wrap is that? It looks grainy... which is cool. That answers the problem of paint just scratching off easily. Are you going to do all the pillars as well? What about covering the roof in black fabric?

Thanks!

I think you might be happier with ebay stick on ones like I have, but you could try the wrap and see if you like it. Carbon wrap to me looks good from far but when you get up close and can see/feel the texture it bothers me. I also don't like that, as far as I know, it only comes Matte. If the car is matte or flat, no big deal, but if it is gloss I don't think it looks as good

This is black brushed metal, something different than the usual carbon It does have texture to it which helps the look. I have the all my door cards, pillars, and headliner wrapped in black suede at the moment. I might be changing some of that out for this stuff or just redoing it with the suede material I have left, not sure.

P.s.mileage wise I believe I am at 136k on the body and 26k on the drivetrain

Are yours just reflectors? I know the UK cars (and probably the JDM) just use reflectors, but my RS has bulbs in the side markers. They function as side turn signals, see: http://opposedforces.com/parts/impre...llustration_1/

So, I got some Grids yesterday. Too good of a deal to pass up on them. 18x9.5s 5x100. Anyone know some good tires/what sizes I should go with? Thanks! If you could PM me that'd be sweet.

Were those the gold ones for like five hundred bucks? Great deal! I love my Nitto Motivos on my winter set for their drivability and quietness. Sucks it has been a warm winter so I haven't run them this year. Sizing depends on what look and car you have. 225/40/18 is a small stretch on the tires and definitely a good choice with just coils and rolled fenders. I have 215/40/18 on my 9.5s but they're Federals and run wide
