Default Vishnu Pug In Harness questions

I have a Vishnu Harness to install, the plug in one thats saves factory wires. Does anyone have pics of their install, or any suggestiongs on where to put it? I seems to sit great on top of the ECU, but then the sheilding won't fit. Any ideas. Thanks.

that is correct. the shielding will not fit with all bolts in place. you can only replace the one on the very top in the center and the lower right one.

OK. But doesn't that mean the sheild will rest on the Harness still? With people getting in and out of the car putting their feet on the sheild, then pushing on the harness, is that OK?
I was thinking about getting longer bolts and using some washers and/or spacers to raise the sheild above the harness and sitting the harness on top of the ECU. Any thougths on that?

yes, the shield will rest directly on top of the unichip. you are OK as long as no one does a tap dance on it. i did not try to fix the problem, i just tell everyone not to put their feet up on the shield and to keep'em on the floor board. if the spacer thing works, be sure to post details. i have not heard of this before.

my idea is to get longer bolts, and measure how much higher the shield needs to sit and use a spacer/nut set up to space it high enough off the ECU, where I can have it fully secured and then have no worry about people's feet causing any damage.

I took this approach and it worked great. A little lump in the carpet, but with the floor mats in you can't tell at all. I will try and take some pictures tonight. Allowed me a lot more room for my pass thru harness, unichip, and my avc-r wiring.

When did you get your Stage 0? Didn't you get the metal stand-offs that you use to keep the shield off the unichip?

I only have the harness, not a full stage.

Dunk- Glad to hear. I am going to try and hit up Homedepo for the hardware tonight. Would love to see those pics.

i just installed the stage zero chip and harness. everything fit perfectly under it. i used the spacers and bolts provided in the kit and squeezed it all under it the sheild sits 1 inch higher but the spacers provide excellent strength .
