Default HKS F-Con ???

A buddy of mine has a HKS F-CON on his WRX and he really likes it alot. I'm thinking of going that way since the UTEC's are still a month away for me...

Has anyone used/seen the F-Con?

Bill

I don't know if you guys remember but a while back when SCC had their WRX shootout, there was a WRX (BozzSpeed) that was using the F-con. You may want to contact them. One of their guys is on here...his name is BOZZWRX...

Last I recall the plug and play version is not available for the '02 WRX as of yet. I'/m sure you could buy it and hack it's way to work but dont think you can use any of the maps that is given with it as in Japan they have a different gas rating that would make the maps included useless.

F-Con is a very capable system, the downside is that you will have to havea custom harness fabricated for it to make it work. Most true Stand alone ecus require you to do this (Autronic, GEMS, Motec) this is expensive at least a grand but that is the price you have to pay. I personally do not like the philosophy behind the UTec so I am going to go Motec or Autronic at this point. As far as maps a go, if you get your EMS installed by a professional they will be totally capable of programming several very effective maps for you. The Autronic is only 1900 for the base and I think that it is a really killer ECU, the M4 Pro from Motec is similar quality.

HKS makes one which is called HKS F-Con S.
Its a piggy back one and lets users tune it or you can get the one which is already tuned(plug and play).
