I'm pretty sure the white Fozzy is a restored/salvage title because of teh fire...

How's the black Fozzy's title?
If it's clean, I'd swap that one instead, and up the resale value by a lot.

I still think should you swap a 93-95 Impreza instead...
It's easier to make road worthy, to emission with just a simple idle/sniffer test, and sell in the future.

I've been thinking about thar DBB,but this one just seems more fun ?
Have run into a problem with the title on the white car. Trying to work it out?
So,I may need to go with the Black one ?

But may need to get V6/7 for something to do in retirement !

More cleaning and fitting.
This is what is under your dash!

And here is what needs to go to the dask!

Some temp fitting of the air/box and the MAF.

And a shifter. Still will need to see if it will work with the old Sti. trans ? May need to fab some stuff ?

Thanks to Jerome ! He has a cool build going!

Got started on reconstituting the motor and transx from a mid-engine setup from my tube car . Photo of the adaptor that makes it a FWD or Mid-engine. Also some motor shots.

Installed the used shifter I got ,think it is from a 07 and looks like it will work ? I will know more when I fit it to the chassis.

Still working out where all the backets went too?

Randy

Washed the Black car. Man,does it need body work! Need to look into getting a title for the white one!

I know that no one would do a 1994 Sti swap ( just this dum -ass) into a 98+ Forester but here are some things I haved learned.

The holes for the power steering are just off, so you will need to elongate them.

The doner is RHD and the steering hoses will not work with the US pump. Maybe a WRX would but I don't have a WRX. I will just have some hoses made. Also did some bending of the banjo fitting for the pump. Will need to weld some ends on the steel pipe for the hoses. Thinking a AN fitting ? The presure side is like 2500 PSI. at lock. The return line is no big deal. It will go to the cooler and then to the pump return.

Read something that the RHD pump can't be used on a LHD steering system ? So I reused the Forester's pump. Most of this is to keep and clear the coolent tank (just if front of the Turbo) and to reuse the Sti. radiator. Will also need some heatstop on the hoses. Wi also rap the uppipe.

Bill I don't know what size tubing I will use for the bumper yet.

Got some parts today. Thanks Markos ! At Camelback Subaru Mazda .
And also had the power steering hoses made. Went with a -6 hose that can be replaced in the future if needed.

More new/old parts. I'm at a point to be able to install the motor/tran's package ! Also did some work on the Forester ABS removel and Sti brake install. Going to be able (with a lot of rebending ) to reuse the brake lines with some reflairing of lines.

Input?

This is just my opinion but:

Either Rotella T6 or some quality dinosaur oil in the motor and subaru GL5 on the trans unless you're getting grinds. I've had good results with the Amsoil severe gear 75w90.

Here are the photos of what makes up the engine bay parts. From the green tape to the pump is removed and reused. Take a look at the black cars motor bay to see it replumed.

Then its just taking the time to remove all the electric stuff! = taking the inside of your Forester apart !! Or just leave it ?

For today I setup things to remove the rear tray and install the tray from the white car. It has the disc brake hangers, the other is a L drum system. Oh, and moving the white car into the bay the left front wheel and bearing fell off!
