Cool today's autoX (Sun. Jan. 14)

Although we all froze our butts off, it was a great event. Things went really smooth. It was really nice putting faces with user names (and real names at that). Hope you guys enjoyed yourselves. See you at the next one.

I forgot to tell you guys I wasn't going to make it today. Glad y'all had fun.

Larry - Got your message. I should've let you guys know I wasn't going to make so the well known statement "Where's Will?" wouldn't be asked too much.

It was a good time, just too damn cold. I managed huge slide in the ITR... I never lost control of the RS... hmm... anyway, it was an interesting course. Definitely not representative of what the courses are normally like.

Next event on my calendar is the rallycross... check here for more info...

I freakin loved the elevation change in the course, especially the off camber downhill turn! Never came close to a slide, and I managed something like the 4th fastest time of the day on RE92's... I get bragging rights

No, I have bragging rights, because I ran dead even with a turbo car that's technically faster than yours with the same suspension. He's got a ball bearing turbo. So, NEENER NEENER NEENER . (hehehe) Actually, I was surprised at the results. I might stay N/A so I can beat you there since you're never at the drags . I'm ONLY 2.5 seconds slower than you. It would have been about 1.5 or 2 if my last run was clean. I'm figuring out how to slide this car effectively on pavement. Dirt isn't a problem, but I don't want to do a traction roll if you know wudda mean. We'll see about February. I'll prolly need a clutch by then.

Larry would brag if he arrived at the site first... some people are easily amused and some people really like to hear themselves talk...

Larry, Fauth still beat you by 3 seconds, in a stock ITR, how do you explain that? You've got about 50hp on him...

Sorry, but Fauth was only 2.012 seconds faster, and I was on crappy stock RE92's and he was on Hoosiers! If I have to explain the 2-3 seconds gained by Hoosiers to you, then you are worse off than I thought

We know how you explain away burninrubber being almost 2 seconds faster than you in your ITR... But it was his first time out on those lousy Kumho 712's too (compaired to your RE010's)!

Larry "Bragging rights retracted, they still go to burninrubber who shoulda never beat you that badly" Ganz

PS: Plus I know my 2 year old used BFG-R1's will only stick a little better than my RE730's - they are hard as rocks. So, when the 2/25/01 autocross comes around, I still don't expect to catch Dave Fauth. As moderator, I will have to leave it at that, and not perpetuate this word fest or drag it out.

Ok, I'll speak slowly so Larry can follow...

The ITR is not my daily driver.
The ITR has bald 010's on it, a full season of auto-x and 9k street miles.
It was only the second event I've driven the car.

Lousy 712's? They're brand new Larry, get your facts straight.

Don't worry Gary, in a couple months you won't be able to touch my times in the ITR. Trust me. I was as fast as most of the ST Subarus last year in my stock RS. Larry just doesn't seem to comprehend the fact that I need to drive a car for a while to get the hang of it. And he's upset because he spent so much money and still can't catch a stock ITR.

OK guys. Take your pissing contest elsewhere!! That's not what this board or the egroups board is for. Settle your differences on the track or in private!

Larry, like you said, "as a moderator" I'm asking you delete this post or close it!! You guys may have your differences, but I sure as hell don't feel like putting up with it in a public discussion.

I posted this so people could say what a good time they had this weekend (regaradless of the results and the weather). I already tried to delete the post, but unfortunately I wasn't chosen as "forum leader."

bah... it's a good thing for the newbies to read. Larry's true colors coming out. He's the worst sport in the region and will jump an any opportunity to rub your face in the smallest of victories. Good for you Larry!

I prefer to cheer for my fellow Subaru drivers, rather than against them, even if they aren't driving a Subaru.

Hell of a job winning DSP Ro, and congrats to Gary for taking the rookie class. And hey, even though I drove like ****, I still took second in GS... go me! And JJ, hang in there, you'll get a handle on those r-compounds...

If I hear one more thing about comparing the ITR to an RS I'm going to smack someone. I think the ITR gives me the best shot at winning GS, so that's what I'm going to drive. If you don't like it, I don't really give a ****.

Unhappy

I am sorry - I did not wish for this to be a flame fest. I was having fun with El Kabong but apparently offended him. It is hard to tell when he is being serious or funny, but this looks real.

After I said "I'm signing off" I neglected to come back for three days, only to find the thread closed. I should have closed it myself.

I am sorry it stooped this low here.
