I have the same f ing issue! Except it is like that everytime I start it haha. I have been concerned for a while that something is wrong with my 11 STi.... How do I check this stuff? Also my car is kinda slow recently... Also if I unplug the battery and forget to retune, I go to start up and it never starts. I am runnin 93 oct stage 1 + SF. I then retune and it still barely wants to start up! Any help would be greatly appreciated..

You probably have busted ringlands or something else going on with your motor.

Are you Cobb tuned or open-source?

Take some logs after warming up, cruising on the highway, and after it has trouble starting. Send them off to Eric and see what he says. He'll respond really quick. Both of my cars are tuned by him and I couldn't be happier with the tunes. Chances are your warm engine starts need to be tuned up a bit...

I actually have the same issue running stage 2 torqued. Eric and I had gone back and forth with logs so not quite OTS. Let me know what you hear.

I have the same issue on my 100% stock 2011 WRX.
Thought it might be the battery so I swapped it for a yellow-top. It did seem to start much quicker for months but now it will chug for a bit before turning over. Really strange.

sounds sir like you might have a ground issue...

these newer subarus tend to have issues with puddle lights, fog lights, rear center brake lights, headlights (for 2011+), and passenger airbag light (2009 to 2011 Forester) grounding issues...

If you have any of these, which you probably do, then chances are you have a small ground that over time will wear down your battery. I'm still looking for mine on my Forester XT and on my WRX I had to swap my battery recently (more from age than anything else)

well, I cant think of anything else that would make your car not start with warmer operating temps. OP, if its an accessport i'd strongly suggest flashing to the cobb OTS map and see how that works for you. FYI, Cobb is a trusted OTS map. If another company developed the map, it's considered custom stage 1, not OTS.

I can't really think of a scenario other then a tune that would cause this issue.

cheers.

Any reason why you are using the real-time tune and not reflash? You should not need to reflash after an ecu reset/disconnected battery.

I am using reflash! Even though i use reflash I still have to retune every time I disconnect the battery! It sucks.

Plug in your ap. Go to the map screen (not sure what its under offhand since I am at work maybe someone can chime in) and tell us what map it says you are on under reflash AND real-time.

Could also be the ground wire issue for the coils. Something to look at.
