Question Anyone know anything about Talon TSI's? (WRX comparison?)

I'd like to know how it compares to a WRX. That'll give us some idea of what a setup WRX could do with a good driver at an autocross. Kathy Wolfskill can drive that Talon like you wouldn't believe. And I'd think the power/weight is close to a WRX, isn't it?

Yes, power/weight ratios are similar. However, the delivery of the power is a bit different. The mitsus feel like they have an exponetial boost curve. You wait a bit, but it hits hard when it spools up. The new WRX feels much more linear. However, it seems to take a bit more concentration to keep the Scooby in the sweet spot.

My friend drives around a modified Tsi (1st generation) that's pretty fast. If you'd like, he'd give you a ride.

I haven't driven a wrx, but I did own a 1990 Eclipse GSX. I agree with Diz, you do have to wait a bit for the power, but once it comes on it really moves. Handling of my RS wins hands down though. The mitsu felt like a boat, just kind of floated thru turns, compared to the RS (with KYBs and sway-bar) which tracks really well.
