Question Sighting

My wife and I were just at TGI Friday's (Park Meadows) and when we came out there was another WRX parked next to mine. Very cool.

It was silver, pink I badge on the front, Stromung exhaust and the SUBARU removed from the back. Just curious who owns it. Very sharp.

Hehe. That would be me. Glad someone else noticed the silly stuff I have done to it. Yeah, I was ogling your car too. That WRC blue is just incredible.

The next upgrades are not so silly...

IHI Ball Bearing turbo
OZ Superleggeras in 17"
HKS Boost controller and gauge

Believe me, I am working HARD for the mods I am doing - my wife totally does not understand why I dont leave the car stock, so every little item I buy or change on the car is a battle.

So, I have decided that one day when she is working I am going to go "borrow" her Forester, take it up to JCSports, and bolt a turbo on it. Then she will totally understand! She is always griping about it now having enough power. Can you imagine a 300hp Forester? Totally a sleeper

Cheers,

JaMa

I am going to go through JCSports for mine, but I understand there are many places who sell them. Try some of the remanufactured turbo ads in the back of Turbo, Sport Compact Car and others - They sell the IHI new and rebuilt. I am buying a new one only because I think a new car deserves a new turbo. JC has a program that they take your old turbo in exchange and sell you the IHI ball bearing for $1100. Then they charge 200-300 to install. Evidently it is a very easy, 1-2 hour install because the turbo is so easily accessible in the WRX.

Anyway, thats what I know. I am still debating about the boost controller. I am new to the Turbo world and I am not really sure what the boost controller does to get its results.

Cheers,

JaMa
