Welll....

If your looking for a Decent place...

2Bdrm/1bth ~$1000-1200
2Bdrm/2Bth ~$1100-$1300
1 Bdrm ~$800

Of course, the closer to Lodo/Cherry Creek the more its going to cost. If its really nice (within LoDo/Cherry Creek) expect to pay closer or more than $2k a month.

A buddy of mine just moved into a 1Bdrm going for $600, in my opinion its better to pay the extra $200 a month.

I thought the Springs was the next job hotbed for Colorado?

What kind of work do you do?

I'm in Englewood, and those prices listed above are right-on. The springs is cheaper, but then again, you have to live in the springs.

hehe...want to know what an extremely nice place in Ft. Fun cost?

$1135/mo for 2bed/2bath, 1010sq ft, full size wash & dryer, central air/heat, large (ie you could fit a good sized SUV in it and have room to spare) garage, all needed appliances (dishwasher, microwave, gas stove/oven, freezer/fridge), 9ft ceilings. I don't want to think what something like that would cost in Denver

Well given Strepto's description of a place that nice in Denver (within city limits)...
Those are considered MANSIONS. Houses like that don't exist in Denver, if they did exist, a house like would run around $500k.

Where I live, The Parkway (Hirise Apt's), its FULL of hot-ass women, I think the term I heard is 'young' professionals.

I really like living in LoDo, despite the high cost of living. I didn't want to live in another Suburb, so I bit the bullet.

If you wondering about Condos/Lofts within the Denver City limits, you will NOT find anything less than $250k.

I'm still amazed there are enough people with $$$ that can support the high costs.

Oh, Bratmantlz.

If you wanna get rich quick (less than 10 years), become a broker. The majority of millionares/billionares made their money in the stock market. Just remember, the stock market is just like gambling (IMO). Even that takes alot of hard work, and sleepless nights. Also, a lot of those brokerage firms won't let you touch stocks until you've put in a few years.

Your in the right industry, once you get 5 years of Sys admin. experience more than likely you're salary will be close to the 6 figure mark. Oh, and you have to be diversified in tech knowledge, never concentrate on one thing. I'm starting to see a lot of job requirements for Windows Admins. also ask for experience with Linux (and vise versa). Try to learn as much as you can, this cannot be stressed enough.

Of course, you have to play the company lotto to, which is finding the right company that pays well and has career opportunities. If you do find one, stick with it, I've yet to stick with a company for more than a year... not necessarily a good thing if the company your interviewing for is looking for somebody that will stick around for 2 years.
