In the immortal words of Dave Matthews, 'I did it'. The planets aligned and I traded my beloved silver RS for a WR Blue WRX sedan last night. Heuberger had it sitting on the lot. Someone ordered it and then decided they didn't want it. Pictures are forthcoming. I have already ordered my wheels (OEM 17s) and I'm having them and the coilovers put in on saturday. My K&N panel filter from the RS was a direct drop in to the WRX. You gotta love Subaru. Anyway, I'll keep you guys updated on how it responds to modification. Cheers.

Brat -
I should be talking to Bob today. I'll let you know what he says. Mike - Ah, shaddup... I see a good-natured internal rivalry coming on here. BTW - do you still plan on keeping your RS? |

By 17" OEM wheels, I assume you mean the UK/Canada ones? Could you fill us in on where you got them, and for how much?
THanks, Andy |

Wow. Lotsa ??s.
Insurance - the jury is still out on that one. Coilovers - they are the Teins that I had on my RS. Wheels - Yep, these are the stock ones that the people in the UK get. You can order them through JC Sports. As for April 1st, I'm not too sure. I may be snowboarding then. Talk at you guys later. |

Paul, congrats! I'll be meeting with my salesman today at 1pm. Going to work out financing and a possible trade-in (speaking of, what did you get for your RS?). Wish me luck. Hopefully I won't have to order one. I'd like a blue one, but as Eric said to me, black doesn't show as many cone marks

Maybe. I need to get some track time in that thing. However, I don't want to beat it. I was thinking about doing a high performance driving school first.

You don't want to beat it? Damn man, it's not a rare Ferrari, it's still a Subaru, they'll make more...
![]() You would learn a ton about the car if you autocrossed it. Much more real world driving skills than doing track time. |

I think this will be fun, as Steve Hofle in the springs is getting a WRX too, so a few of us will have wacked out RS's to go cruising together with Diz, Hofle and PunkRS.

Paul,
I do not plan on keeping my RS, but as long as it is around I wouldn't mind showing you some manners in that pretty candy-blue REXy-pooh. And who said anything about good-natured? |
