I talked to Christian today and he said he's got two guys with WRX pre-orders that will go right to him for upgrades. Sweet!
I need an IC! Any news from Nate Wade?

It won't be until after the WRX comes here.
BTW, I just got screwed by Tirerack. I ordered 4 new PZero's. They sent me 3 new ones and 1 used one with a broken bead. They are supposedly sending me a new one by next day Fed-Ex so that I will have it for the race this weekend. I had no idea Tirerack even had used tires. ARG!!!!!! ![]() |

Spec: The US Turbos DO NOT HAVE AN IC!
They never did. That's what you get with a measly 8.7PSI of boost and 8.0:1 compression. Never ordered from the Tire Rack, but most everything i've heard has been positive. Hopefully they get their assets going and get you your fourth new tire. Super-Ninja! God Bless my Apex-i AVC-R and 11psi! ARG!!! [This message has been edited by DLC (edited February 02, 2001).] |

![]() Well JC sports says they don't sell there pipes for the turbo separate from the kit. Probably because you can build their kit yourself for well under the $3k they charge. So now I still have to find someone to build my custom exhaust. ARG!!! ![]() |

Performance R&D (801) 255-3440 8169 S State #c UT They are behind the RV shop. Give them a call and let them know what you are planning. They have done many custom projects and I think they have a mandrel bender too. They may need to look at it to give you a definite price. I think I was quoted a price of about $350 for a custom mandrel bent catback exhaust with a carry-in muffler. This was a number of months ago though, and I haven't found the time to call them inquiring about my new 2.5" turbo-back exhaust. This is who will be doing my downpipe and exhaust for my turbo project. OR JR's Custom Muffler in Orem, but they don't have a mandrel bender so everything will be crushbent. They are really good, but personally, I don't think they are setup to do custom turbo installs. -Jon |

Thanks, I know Nate at Perf. R&D. If you are getting a whole new exhaust, will you be selling your Apexi exhaust? That might save me some custom work if I bought that from you.
On another subject, I stopped at Mark Miller yesturday and still no word on exact delivery date of the WRX. He said we might be able to get some stuff from Subaru. I'll find out more later.ARG!!! ![]() [This message has been edited by Scoobyslack1 (edited February 03, 2001).] |

I borrowed a video from Christian that had Rigolli doing a 10.4 sec. 1/4 mi. He also raced a Diablo on a wet track and beat him.

I will probably be going out to Ogden this coming weekend and we can probably hook up so you can take a ride if you like. I gotta find Thor too, since he has some seats I wanna sit in, and he was going to check out the cams as well.

Yes, if I go with a full custom exhaust, then I will most likely have a 2.25" catback for sale.
BTW, Cobb Tuning Cams are in! They totally change the way the power is delivered. |

Well, i have a LAN party in south SLC most of Saturday, so unless you're going to be out here on Sunday, i'll probably have to miss the occasion.
If we can ever find out when this meeting is supposed to happen, it would be nice! |

Stimpy,
Did you make it to Ogden last weekend? I just checked this b-board and saw your post. I "road tested" the STi seats. I drove up to the new cut off road form trappers loop to snow basin. Even w/o the harness (no cash right now) they are a great improvement over the stock seats and they look great. Install was bout 5 min per seat. If you know any one who may want a set of RS seats (MY00) let me know.(seats are OEM) Thor [This message has been edited by thor (edited February 06, 2001).] |

I will be going out to Ogden on this weekend coming up (10th and 11th). I'll toss an email to you two (DLC and Thor) once I decide what times I will be where. I've got a LAN party Friday, so I won't be out there until Saturday evening.

/me does his worst John Travolta impression...
I'm considering the STi Group N bushings from Cobb. $329 or so, just about every bushing is replaced with the hard stuff... Best thing is that they're available for my car, probably since a lot of people still rally the BC-BF turbos. Anyone else used these hardened bushings? |
