Brat - We probably won't go up that canyon when we come up. Golden Gate Canyon (from last night) is the backway / shortcut. No signs, no sign of life... kind of a spooky and long road. The highway (SH46) isn't even marked until you hit 119 (the end). Yikes!

For this trip, we'll head up the normal way... the way most people get to Black Hawk and Central City. I70 to SH40 to 6th Ave to SH119. Still sort of a shortcut... but at least there's signs pointing you in the right direction.

Later,
Tom

Brat attempted to come up to my house to pick up his new rear strut bar. He got lost somehow. Had to meet him halfway.

It was quite a night. Hehe.

Sounds extremely interesting. At least no one had an 'off', unless someone's not fessing up.

I've kinda locked myself into this car show thing that saturday, but I think it gets over at 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Since I am the one who brought it up and is orginizing it not only for our group but for SCCA, I should be there. I would be up for something saturday night possibly....

I completely forgot about that show thing. JJ, do you have a list of people that are going to the air/suby show? Just PM me if you have the info. I don't know which I'll be at, but I'll figure it out soon.

Yeah, I second the whole Sunday thing. Then we could all be there...as if anyone cares if I'm there. It would be fun though.

Glad to see we've moved to sunday...I don't know where the old c's is in arvada. If someone could post the address that would help. Then I'll use mapquest to give me directions. As for a meeting time, I'm voting for something not too early-say around 11 or so?

Thumbs up Mini-meet in Central City - who's coming?

When: Sunday, next weekend (May 13th)

Where: Central City

Purpose: Check out possible location for Subaru-only local just for fun auto-x.

We'll all meet up some place in D-town, then trek up to Central City.

Who all wants to attend? Afterwards we could all head down to Black Hawk to one of the casinos for lunch or dinner - great food! All you can eat buffets. Fresh sea food. Slot machines, Black Jack... who could ask for more? LOL (I guess I could ask for more because I'm not of legal gambling age, yet )

I'll keep a list here:
1. Tom Richardson (tomrichardson)
2. ?
3. ...?

Tom

Sorry Guys, I can't make either the car show or the mini-me-et

I have to use up my "tokens" to go to Denver this weekend to pick up some free tires (before he gives them to someone else). And I have to visit JCS to see if my wastegate is going bad. All of a sudden it has started to creep from 5 lbs to 7-8 lbs in 4th and 5th gear above 4,500 rpm - used to be "rock steady" boost levels after the IHI ballbearing went in...
