Default went to roughton for the recall and VW wheels.......

Yeah I had the recall performed for the ECM reflashing and the O2 sensor replacment. They had me out by 10:30 because I had dropped the car off the night before so they would have a cold exhaust system in the morning. My check engine light (CEL) is gone for now we'll see if it needs replacment after another 55k miles. The exhaust has lost the burble sound that I would get every now and again after letting off the gas.

But also this weekend I test fitted some rims from a friend's 2001 Jetta and they fit really good. the 38 offset did not cause the wheel to be too far out and gave the car a nice stance. They were only 15" wheels with the stock 195/65/15 tires but there was no fitment issues. so now I know I have a great resource for getting some cheap wheels. I'm thinking about some snow rims and tires for the 2-3 days a year where I'll get to use them. Good knows I loved it when the wife had duty in NN last year when it snowed

have fun. Frank

So roughton had no problems with your mods? I just asked Chris (Lysholm) Saturday night if you had mentioned anything to him about it.

As for the rims, I guess you weren't at the meet when Shawn showed up with a stock Jetta rim on the front of his 02 RS. He had busted one of his and took one from his? Jetta.

I parked my truck so I could watch them through the bay door while I read the paper. It looked like if they had ignored the intake and strut bar they would have been done about 20minutes sooner but not one word was said to me about the mods on the car.

I haven't gotten out much since I moved down here to Moyock NC but I did get the Subie knee deep in mud this past weekend.

That's thicker mud than I've had on my car, but not more than I've had.

Who's Beetle in the backround, kinda looks good with black rims, are they the RS rims?
