I was told 8 weeks but it could be as many as 12. I think dealers are trying on to get hopes up too much and it is possible you may get it sooner.

Recently ordered a 15 limited in DGM, 6speed. Best deal I found in SF area was 400 above invoice with July (cross fingers) delivery.

First post here, and it's good news.

Drove from Oxford, Alabama to Kennesaw Subaru just north of Atlanta today in my 2009 base WRX. I drove home today in a 2015 WRX Limted 6MT in WRB. This one had the STI shifter which I am a fan of. The LED lowbeams are beautiful. Didn't necessarily plan on getting one today, because I didn't think they had one on the lot that I wanted. They gave me a great deal on my trade in value for my WRX, and my total price and monthly payment came out actually a lot lower than I had been doing the math for. I didn't get this stupid "$500 under invoice" pricing that some of you "wizards" are getting, but it was a great deal for me and I'm content. The wife loved it, but can't drive the 6speed.

I went over there since they were the only dealer that had a WRX or STI in stock with the Harmon Kardon system I could test. The HK system sounded good, but didn't blow me away like I wanted it to. I listened to the regular system in another WRX and I was impressed about how good it sounded, especially comparing it to my stock speaker(but upgraded head unit) 2009. Bass hits harder, and giving the system's separate tweeters it seems to make a world of difference because I can now hear all the intricate high-hat taps and symbol splashes that I couldn't hear before in my 09. So IDK WTF you guys are talking about that it sounds like trash; its def not trash, but I'm aware it's not mind blowing. I listen to metal, metalcore, progressive/expermental rock, indie pop, pop-punk, hardcore, with a tiny bit of hip-hip(Childish Gambino)...... and it seems to get the job done for me.

I will complain about the speed that the stock head unit scrolls through artists via the USB connect for iPod. Useless. I have 462 artists and I would have to dedicate 2 minutes of my time just to get to "The Mars Volta". I love that the top screen shows the artist info and all that, but it's just not practical scrolling through long lists. I guess I'll be using the AUX input until I can swap out the HU when they make a legit 2015 WRX harness and dash kit.

Ordered mine on Saturday. WRB premium. Only options are short throw and arm rest. Got it at invoice and invoice on the options. Was told late June for delivery. Can't wait.

One of my biggest gripes about my 2011 STI was the sound system--the head unit and speakers were complete garbage. I never expected a Bose-quality system, but pretty sure the stock speakers on my old 1999 Civic were better.

I went aftermarket on the head unit, which made a slight difference--pretty much impossible to dress up crappy speakers. I'm really hoping the H/K system is at least a good improvement over past years. I listen to all kinds of rock music, so for me sound clarity, probably more so than immense audio power/bass. I like powerful speakers, but don't need them to rattle the entire car and surrounding neighborhood. The reviews on the H/K system seem to be mixed so far but I guess it's all based on personal preference/taste in music.

Same issue with me on every Subaru I have owned. FIrst mod always the stereo just to get it to sound "okay".

I got to here the H/K on Monday and I have to say it is waaay better. Still not as great as an aftermarket option but also something that I can live with without upgrading.

The HK sounds way better than the standard stuff, but not $2.5k better. Not even close. You're way better off buying a new headunit, speakers, and amp aftermarket. I really don't see the HK as making any sense at all at that price point. You could spend 1500 on aftermarket and have a nice setup AND $1k in your pocket.

This..my wife has the HK in her legacy 3.6R...I put a Clarion in my 2010 WRX with an amp and a set of speakers in the front and back and it sounded great and the head unit had nav and DVD ...by the way the HK in my wife's Legacy sounds pretty good..I wonder if they use the same unit in the 2015 WRX?

Okay thanks for the insight on the H/K system. If I want a new STI Limited in the short term, I may have to settle for a package without the Nav, which means I'll get that standard POS head unit. I can replace that with a nice double-din, possibly w/ Nav in the future. Was trying to avoid going after market this time, but sounds like it will prob be necessary because I HATE the Subaru factory head units. If the H/K speakers are a big improvement (as you say), chances are I will just leave those be.

The HK in the WRX/STI is different and better than the HK I've heard in outback loaner cars I've had.

The reason why Launch Edition is so worth it. Either the Base and the options has strings attached, or the Limited with too much un wanted stuff...just leave the Launch Edition on everything the STI ever really needed. LE = money well spent

Default 2015 WRX Limited Order Placed!

Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. I just popped my Subaru cherry and placed an order yesterday for my WRX. I don't have anyone else to share the excitement with (that would understand it, anyway), so here I am!

2015 Subaru WRX Limited – 6-speed MT
  • Dark gray metallic exterior, carbon black leather interior
  • Navigation + Harmon Kardon amp/speaker upgrade + keyless entry/start
  • STi short throw shifter
  • Auto-dimming mirror with compass and HomeLink
  • All weather floor mats (got these for super cheap)
  • WRX side sill plates
  • Wheel lock kit
  • Cargo tray

VON assigned, $500 over invoice with an ETA of late June. Can't wait!

I just got back from a dealership here in Texas to check out the Sti. Based on everything I read I was planning on a base with Nav/HK/push button start/short throw shifter/sti exhaust/ and all the under spoilers.

Test drove a GBP with everything but the under spoilers and man is this car a blast! The sales guy and I were out for nearly an hour! Took it on some twisty back roads and he kept telling me to push it (so of course I did). It is REALLY hard to upset this car. It just sticks to the road and when it does slide it's magical, lol! This car had 100 miles on it and needless to say I'm pretty sure this wasn't the 1st time it had been driven like it was stolen (so much for that break in). More one that in a few...

So after all the fun we parked and I started playing with the Nav. I was very disappointed... I went to type in an address and it was SO slow to react to anything I would input. Not exaggerating, it took about 10 seconds to type 3 numbers. Ok, so that sucked but I could probably live with it as other parts of entering an address seemed to go a little quicker. Then came the HK - I thought it would be much better than it was too. I had it turned up to like 50 before I thought, ok, this is pretty loud, but it didn't seem to have any highs or lows. I tried playing with the EQ to see if I could get some depth or something out of it but nothing really helped. That was it... I was not going to pay that kind of money for 1/2 a$$ equipment. So, I decided to skip it but then I realized I couldn't get push button start without it! UGH!!!

Finally, I just happen to mention the launch edition to the sales guy and he tells me they have 1 left that is allocated to them but hasn't arrived. BAM! Deposit down and I'm getting that sucka! So, one Launch Edition with under spoilers all the way around and STi Exhaust with my name on it hopefully arriving mid-May! After market stereo and nav on the list of 1st mods

As a side note, and I know this is a little off topic, but I was talking to the service manager about break in (given we have just trashed on one with 100 miles) and he said that 1,000 mile break in period was just an added precaution and that they spend 8 hours getting broke in at the factory! Anyone heard of that? Anyway, super stoked about getting the car and breaking it in the way I always break in cars... showing as much restraint as long as possible then saying #$% it!

Agreed! See my post above. Not impressed at all. Not horrible by any means, just not impressed.

First time posting to the forum. Been debating the car for a couple months now, and finally decided to go for it! So pumped, let the wait begin. Ordered Black Premium, 6sp man, H/K upgrade. Out the door @ $500 over invoice. Dealer gave me a VON number...is there any way to use this to check on estimated delivery?
