Milano and Rome are both beautiful places. I've got gobs of pictures from my trip last year. Might I suggest going to venice once too

Hey, anybody here versed in the art of getting a stuck seal plate out of an IHI RHB5 turbo? I am stuck with almost every part for my turbo project except a functional turbo. I am trying to rebuild it but I've got a stubborn part that will not come out. Part # 9 being the piece that is stuck: http://www.susogi.net/stimpy/images/...o_exploded.jpg

Its got two blind holes that appear to allow you to get some torque on the plate and rotate it until it comes loose, but there isn't anyway I can get that kind of torque on there with just household tools... Any thoughts?

-Jon

ah yes... VENICE! http://www.susogi.net/stimpy/images/...pe/venice1.jpg

As for fixing the turbo, try calling High Tech Turbo 801-268-9721. They rebuild IHI turbos.

Also, who is up for helping out with Arselan's WRX suspension upgrade tonight?

First yes I will be at the E-center trying to look like I know how to drive...

Stimpy: Is that turbo an RBH5 or RBH52?
I think I have a RBH5 off of an older Subaru that is in great shape, but I thought the Legacy had an RBH52 on it.

I might help out with they suspension tonight, hopefully I'll get that boost controller today. What time? At your Dad's shop?

Scoobyslack, its the legacy turbo. I've got a rebuild kit, I just can't get this last piece out in order to rebuild the turbo.

So it looks like we will be in SLC by about 9 or 10 Firday night. What are we gonna do? Also it looks like there might be something going on Saturday morning. Jaxxex has suggested we do something in Park City, but I dont know anything about that.

Please give us something to do.

Yay, I just talked to High Tech Turbo (Thanks Spectre) and they said they can help me get that stuck plate out of there for less than $20 and 30 minutes of my time. Looks like I am still on for pulling my oil pan off this saturday and then getting everything test fitted for my final install mid-week next week.

We got Arselan's WRX suspension changed last night. DLC came down and took some pics of my fat ass working (doesn't happen too often). We ran into a little trouble with the top-hats of the front suspension, but DLC saved us by bringing down the old ones from his turbo. It took us about 3 hours not counting time spent waiting for DLC and calling dealerships trying to find top-hats. The car looks and feels much better now.

As for something to do Saturday morning, I (like scoobslack) plan on just washing my car and sleeping in. I still haven't washed all the damn bugs and rubber dust off the car since the Pro Solo in California last weekend.

I am sure he gave you his cell number so you wouldn't need to ask for anyone. But you should just call him "Mini". Everyone else does
