Thumbs up Street Racing...

Well, it was the first night I actually made it to the site, for some reason I lacked the motivation to make the drive before....I won't make that mistake again. I was happily surprised at the quality, diversity and amount of cars that were there! At first I thought it would be a bunch of lame half-ass hondas with watermelon-shooter tips and fading racing stripes....that was clearly NOT the case. There was even a new Turbo Volvo racing! I imagine that this is as serious as street racing gets here in Colorado, at least for now. It got pretty chaotic when the cops showed up, but I was surprised when everyone only drove a mile away to re-group.

I did see one other white 4door RS full of people there...though I don't know who it is or if they are on here.

ps- If your going to reply with a "why street racing is bad" post, please stop yourself. Thanks.

Thats because the authorities is greater Denver dont have any REAL crime to fight, so they crack down on silly stuff. Gotta keep those cops in jobs somehow. Better than having them standing around at the Krispy Kreme snarfing doughnuts I guess.

So where is this road racing Nirvana exactly?

I'm curious too but maybe we should leave that information off the forum and keep it in emails or something...

The cruising scene is looking pretty lame in Arvada and Longmont these days. Tegs and civics with clear tail lights everywhere...

Shoot me an email or something SubieRacer, I'd like to check out the scene you're referring to.

Cheers!

Yes Brat...I'm in Colorado...I live in Aurora.

I didn't give the location on purpose, I'm not going to be the one to ruin it for everyone. If you're interested and you really want to go, email me and I'll keep you informed on what I know about the next meeting place. I wouldn't mind seeing a WRX or two out there kicking some Mustang ass! But I understand if you just want to watch, I'm in no hurry to race illegally and loose my license either.

curtis
ps- I don't check PM's enough to communicate that way, email is best, sorry.

Hey there,

Imprezer's Rule #15. Street Racing posts have to be posted in the Off Topic forum. They will be deleted from any other forum no questions asked.

Had to move it from RMIC to OT forum, sorry
