Dude. I feel your pain I really do. We have similar setups, you went to one of the best shops around, did it the way you were supposed to (ie "Listened to your tuner/shop" a slogan often parroted on here) and you got shafted. It sucks. Life sometimes likes to bone you in the rear dry. Don't get the 370Z though. If you're going to ditch the STI (and I don't blame you for just being rid of it) Get a V8 Mustang. They'll make way more power than your STI could and do it more reliably and much easier. a low mile GT500 would be perf really. Hows 595rwhp with a warranty sound

This sounds like an expensive hobby to have as a full-time student.

Sorry. Fix Or Repair Daily is not my style, nor should it be anyone elses coming from a Subaru money pit.

Vettes have their own engine issues too. Take the Zr1 for example. Just youtube ZR1 engine failure lotsa vids some on their 2nd or third eng.

And I dont currently own any POS Jap crap.

Huh? dat logic......

If you have a factory 595RWHP car that has a warranty how again is it a money pit? Other than new tires every year.

Huh? Dat reading comprehension doe!
I said nothing about it being a money pit. I called the Subaru a money pit
I was infering that even with a warranty you will still be fixing it (or taking it in to be fixed) just as much

lol ok brosef. The comma made it and inference, that's what you meant, and it was.

Its amazing ford is even still in business, what with their cars breaking daily and all. Its a good thing they were bailed out.......

I wonder what percentage of the people complaining about track suitability actually track, or would track, their cars.

In practice, I generally found that having something cheap and easy to repair was preferable to having the ultimate superawesomeultrafast car to go "win" at a lapping day. Which, ironically, is why I had a track-prepped '94 Rustang for a while. It is also for this reason that I wouldn't track either of my current Subarus without some reliability/durability improvements.

The point was all cars break. Some more often then others, and some of those repairs cost more than others. You want reliable and big hp... buy a personal jet

Yeah, what does cost have to do with warrant work again? You are stating the obvious, I can guarantee you a 600whp junkstang will break less often than a 600whp wrx. And when and if the car breaks which one will be under warranty meaning little cost for repair other than time (which can get annoying for sure).

You keep falling back on the money thing. Im more concerned of actual usage vs the time the cars going to be in the shop (or sitting in your driveway/garage). Time is money
