Default BPV leaking?

I finally got around to installing almost all of the STI parts I had been collecting for my FXT. We installed a VF48, TMIC w/STI BPV, and STI up-pipe. On the test drive there was an odd sound, sounded to me like a alternator whine, but definitely wasn't. I recorded a video of the sound.

I think it may be a bad BPV or BPV gasket. Like an idiot, I forgot the get a new gasket for it.

Has anyone experienced this sound?

Thanks for the help!

Boost leak somewhere or bpv probably. Have you done a smoke test or anything?

You might try a light coating of permatex blue on the old gasket unless or until you get a new one. As for the sound it could be any of the connections hat you just made. A boost leak tester would let you know for sure.

I haven't done a smoke test. We sprayed some brake cleaner on the BPV and the hoses that were visible, but it didn't identify any leaks.
