Default Stolen body parts

Anyone else get parts from their car stolen before?

Just noticed as I was stopped for gas that I am missing my passenger side vent. whoever took it off did a great job not to do any damage to the paint but it really pisses me off when people steal ****. I can tell they pulled on the bumper though. they also took the plastic push clips that hold the fender liner as well.

anyone who sees a WRB passenger side vent for a 2008+ WRX in the hampton roads area up for sale feel free to let me know.

Really? That sounds really stupid.

Whoever took it wants it for his/her car. Otherwise you would have lost both.

Get an aggressive dog. Leave aggressive dog in back of car while you go into store. Come back and find all parts are still on the car.

All jokes aside, that's a really sh** thing to do to someone.

I'd put money on it having fallen off.

I find it odd because it is relatively cheap to get a new one and have it painted to match. I find it funny they went through so much trouble not to damage the paint on the car to get it either. But the least they could have done was leave me my stupid clips so my fender liner isnt loose.

It couldnt have fallen off because I havent bumped or hit anything. The bumper in that area appeared disturbed and was pushed out a little, the clips for the fender liner were missing as well. all clear indicators someone was messing with the bumper to get it off.

Yeah I took my girl and my son to the mall last year to come out to have my side skirts off my 98 2.5RS stolen! I was soo pissed off! Def. wasn't easy for me to find side skirts in the condition mine were in. Then having to pay what I paid for them to replace them sucked! Hard finding real 93-01 RS 4 piece skirts with no gouges, or broken clips. Be glad it was just a cheap vent. I'm sorry you went through that. Soo many scummers out there!!! I installed the most sensitive alarm I could find and have a pager on my keys that alerts me that someone touched my car! I hate that I have to do this but the world we live in sucks sometimes! Good luck with the replacement of your grill bro. Hope it never happens again!

Cheap, maybe. But not free.

Your car was free.

thanks for the condolences. I am betting it happened on one of the days her and I went out during the week and I didnt get a chance to take a good look at the car until this morning. I usually do a walk around if I parked in a crowded area but we had crap to do so I didnt take the time to check. otherwise it stays in my garage/my driveway or parked in front of a camera at work on base in which I actively have to monitor anyways because coast guard.

So it cant have gone missing until wednesday or thursday before I noticed it. Crap maybe when it was in my driveway it happened? but i don't live in a shady nighborhood. well, going to have to file a police report anyways if I decide to make a claim. Upon further look at the bumper they damaged it where it clips into the bumper mount connected to the fender next to the headlight.it wont pop back in right anymore.

Said part does not simply "fall off", there are 7 or 9 clips that hold it in place and its pretty secure.

That's pretty messed up to steal that, just seems like something they do to irratate.

I came to find that my passenger side vent cover was stolen off of my wrx this week. Pissed that someone would steal this and didn't make sense why someone stole just that one. Needless to say new ones (I got both so I can dip them) are ordered and will arrive in the morning. This is why no one can have anything nice.

We've had multiple owners say they had their sti fog covers stolen (02-07 models) at a local mall parking lot. Those are simple to take off though, with a set of keys or credit card.

yeah i tried to see what it takes to remove the side vent scoop on my drivers side of the bumper only to realize you cannot pull it off easily. You have to get behind the bumper through the fender liner to get at the clips so you can remove the scoop. Subaru definitely knew what they were doing when attaching these things. too bad other people know as well and are big enough dicks to steal them

But hey that other guy gave me an awesome idea, buy 2 more as spares and paint them something like satin black or whatever. Ill get the one stolen replaced and have a spare set as well.

Someone tried to steal the OEM STi trunk badge on my car. I guess they thought it was one piece and could claim it as a trophy like people used to do with the Mercs, except it's not.

The master plan for their heist didn't work, and at that point, they weren't considerate enough to continue stealing. That vent thing you guys are talking about is even more baffling. It's not like you can pnp that vent on; it just sounds like a-holes doing damage to a car they can't afford for the hell of it.
