Talking Opening Special @ Suby Sports

Suby Sports is having a special for I-Club members

Bring your own parts no matter where you purchased them
For any repair bill over 400.00 in labor save an aditional 5.00$ an hour for a total of 20.00$ off the hourly rate

Just mention this post and we will lower your labor cost

This reduction will end June 29

For you Tom 100+ an hour for everyone else the regular rate is 65.00 an hour that means the 15.00$ off rate is 50.00$ and the 20.00$ off rate is 45.00$ an hour..

Braden

I know for a fact that Braden was tongue in cheek with Tom about $100+ per hour. Tom probbaly doesn't realise that some repairs take more than 4 hours

i.e. to remove and replace tranny is usually quoted at 6 hours x $65/hr = $390. While Heuberger Motors is $75 an hour and $450. The major shops refer to a manual that states how many hours to charge for a job, even if it is done faster or longer.

However, I think for "special i-club members", Braden is only charging actual time worked on the car, rather than "book" time like everyone else does. If he does it in 4 hours, you might only pay $200 - this is a deal. Tom might even get the special i-club rate if he behaves

Braden, when does this special price end?

Larry

PS: Diz, watch your potty mouth or somebody will sick the Imprezidents on me for not moderating

The special price will last through the end of June, ( thank you Diz, and Larry we will behave ourselvs... Sorry)
As for the timme charged we use book time just like the dealer unless I feel the time is out of wack, sometimes the book is a little short and sometimes it is to much through 13 + years experiance on Subarus and Volkswagons and over 20 years in the auto industry I have learned tricks to cut the repair times down and share these cost savings with the customers..whenever possible. come on I still need to pay the rent...
I can now do these cost saving measures without someone overriding me as I am the boss and sole owner...(its good to be the king)
as for tom : being one of the few that has had the pleasure to have a 22B droped in my lap and told to make it race ready in less than 36 hours and actually getting it ready and to the race on time and only averaging 1.5 hours sleep for every 30+ hours work straight for a week... I think I am worth 100.00$+ an hour dont you?

Tom, don't be a dick. People like Braden at Suby Sports and John & Joel at JC Sports are worth the money.

If you have concerns regarding rate structures, don't go there. However, be profesional enough to keep your opinions to yourself.

I'm not going to comment on the 22B comment because some of you already know my opinion on Japanese made sports cars.

I don't think the club would appreciate it.

Japanese sports cars??? Be nice Brat you know when I was a little teenager I thought an american V8 was where it was at, then in my real early 20s I knew that the Germans had it all figured out,, but then in my mid to late 20s I grew up, became an adult and found out that the Japanese are the ones that have the engineers to make the power and make it reliable and not extreemly overengineer their products like the German builders do and the japanese make a better overall product this opinion comes from 20+ years of auto repair experiance in the field not from a magazine or book...real experiance

no offense taken the local dealers are charging an average of 75.00 an hour we charge 65.00 I challenge you to find a reputable shop that has our experiance like myself and JC's that charges 32.50 or less a flat rate hour in Colorado Springs or Denver just because we have the experience we are not double everyone else...

by the way, we are worth a couple extra bucks anyway just for the knowledge Suby Sports and JC sports has accumulated

Sorry if it seems like I've been rude. I don't mean any harm to Suby Sports, JC Sports, or any other local tuner. It takes balls to start a business, I know. I respect everyone's opinions and skills.

I just thought it was funny that people with 20 years experience charge twice the amount for labor than people with 40 years experience.

Ya... I'll definately need a rollcage. But I probably won't make one for it until next season. I just want to get the car running, and running well right now.

I will definitly be in IF and WHEN I get my WRX and I get about 2000 miles on the odo. I don't see it taking any longer than 2 weeks for that but it all hinges on when I actually get me car... sigh.

Hey Braden do you have any updates on the price break downs for the components on the AVO stage kits?
