Nice pics subyxx. So which one is the most current setup?

I see gold rims and then the silver rims with the painted headlights (I guess the silver with painted headlights is the most recent setup).

You can post a few pics in one post also

Looks good. Any night pictures with the C lit up? Did you paint the inner part of the chrome where the C is or you masked that section off to reflect more of the light?

OP sorry to thread highjack man. I'll stop
Excellent question, and I was going to ask what everyone thought about my rational. I'm probably being nuts, but I go into the snow every other year in VA and I thought...for family safety, that I should take advantage of the Subie's AWD but it's been shown that AWD with summer tires is useless in snow so maybe I should get high end all season performance tires.

Am I crazy?

If you want the all-weather tires go for it. I'm happy with my setup and not every setup will work for each drivers needs. Some are one-sided and think that only sport tires can live on these cars - so anything other than performance/summer etc is inferior and the WRX is no longer a good WRX - listen to your needs! My bro's tuned Legacy has these on and the car drives/handles/performs amazingly in all conditions.
Thanks for the advice and I understand you fully. The question becomes, how much am I truly missing? If the WRX does...let's say, .95g but with all season performance tires dose .92g but gives you tons of extra capability in let's say moderate snow then why not?

I'm in FL so I could get away with it but when I visit places with snow what am I going to do? Maybe I'm nuts because it's a every other year thing but I'm considering it.

As for the east coast gathering of TPS6 owners...I mean, of course we should! Lol

Oh, last thing...here are the top two options I'm considering:

They are HIGHLY rated all season high end performance tires, rated on tire rack:

Hankook Ventus S1 Nobel
&
General G-Max AS03

Talking about TSP6, silver or gunmetal on a WRB WRX?

Hankook Ventus should be a good tire. Lots of guys running with the V2 or V12 series.
Others tend to like the Continental DW / DWS tires (ExtremeContact, ContactPro) etc.

I've tried Kumho, Contis DW and DWS and still like the Michelins the most.

Bright silver, IMO, is too much KICK YOU IN THE FACE, lol...gunmetal is tough elegance as long as it's not too dark crossing into blackness.

I'd do Hypersilver, but its really your preference. Both will look good.

Yeah, right now the hankooks are in the lead. They are rated as the #1 Ultra performence all season on tire rack.

I know a few of us where wondering how much the TSP6 weigh, so...

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...autoModClar=SI

According to Tirerack, 18X8 45MM OFFSET come in at 20.15 pounds.

18X8.5 50MM OFFSET, 20.85 pounds.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Price

That's pretty good actually.

What AEM filter did you use? I can't find a fit for the 2015 WRX on AEM's website.

I need some opinions here:

18X8 45 OFFSET 19.6 pounds $150
vs
18X9 35 OFFSET 20 pounds $157

So weight is not an issue and we have read, it's not something to think too much about anyway.

I'd like to stick to stock as much as possible, considering 55 is the stock offset (even though Bellipotens 35 offset looks perfectly reasonable) because I don't like the "sticking out the fender look".

Is 18X9 at 35 too extreme? Should I even waste my efforts going to 9 vs 8 inches in width? Will it impact fuel economy significantly?

The price, is great in my opinion and they mimic the STI 18's pretty well. Here is a picture of them on a ATS:

They are Konig Oversteer.

The place that sells them states the 18X9's wont fit the 2013 STI so maybe the decision is made???

Made a comparison for you. This is the site I used for my rex and previous cars (click on the links on top of the pics and you can play with the numbers yourself)
I would say my setup is perfect - even if I decide to drop a bit in the future I will not have to mess with the fenders.
In my opinion the 18x9 is a bit much. Would go with the 18x8
Mine is at the top in orange and your options are the bottom green

Your 18x9 +35 compared to my setup of 18x8 +35 235/40/18

Some fun in the sun. Added chrome vinyl myself for temporary relief of the hideous orange turn signal on the headlights. Not too bad.
Also Made a single reflective piece this time for the F1 break light.
Finally cleaned my new tires - look very nice now.

Sorry for low quality pics - they were taken with my HTC one. Sony RX100 will be used next time

Looking great! I like those rims above on the Cadillac too, they should look nice on a 2015+ WRX
