Which sensors?

Your best bet is electromotive's web site.

If you're installing the crank trigger, coolant, or knock sensor, your best be is to go through Shiv at Vishnu Performance . He makes subaru specific mounting brackets and adapters that'll make life much easier.

Unhappy

I called them early last week about getting a the pick up mount which they didn't have available and they told me that they're moving away from using the TEC in their setups. They want to use something more simplified, and they told me to go through Electromotive for the sensors. I don't know if there's anyone else that makes Subaru specific parts.

Exactly what I was thinking. And you called Vishnu and they couldn't provide you with the part numbers that they used to make up their kits? I should think they would provide the GM part numbers to make it easier for their existing customers to get replacements. I can understand about the custom crank pickup mount, but everything else was sourced and purchased.

No, I ment that I could not purchase the sensors directly from Vishnu. As far as the sensors, there are plenty of people to get those from since there not Subaru specific parts. I was more concerned with the pick-up mount since those are a PITA to make. I never asked for the GM part numbers, but that's a good idea, because I could walk into AutoZone and get most of the sensors.

The guy on the phone said that they wanted to use something "less intense" and more pug-n-play in their setups. I was suprised too when the guy on the phone told me too. I didn't get his name, but he had a british or australian accent.

The guy you talked to is Brett. I just had a good 1/2 hour conversation with him.

Vishnu will continue to be a Subaru specific Electromotive dealer. Vishnu is still the place to go for things like the crank magnetic sensor mounting bracket, knock sensor adapter, and coolant sensor mount.

Vishnu is working on/testing several different engine management options. Most of those options are plug and play. There are plug and play ecu's which will perform most/all/more functions than the TEC3 for considerably less $$, which is why the TEC won't be the standard engine management option. It'll still be available though, you just have to ask for it .

So would they be able to provide me with a crank trigger wheel for a TEC-II? Does Vishnu or Electormotive make this?

Electromotive makes a trigger wheel, but Vishnu machines their own trigger wheels, and it'll come centered on and attached to a stock crank pulley.

The trigger wheel is the single most important piece, so you need to get it exactly correct. Vishnu does.

So does anyone know if what seven881 is saying is true? Can I still get the crank trigger wheel for a 2001 RS?

What I said was true at the time, but apperently they made the decsion to keep supporting the TEC II after I talked to them, so yes you should be able to get one from them. Pick up the phone and give them a ring.

Wanna part out the Pickup Mount I'll give you $100 for it? Seriously, if you part it out, I'd take the PickUp Mount, Fuel Rails and Injectors if you decide to do it.
