Anyone going to England want to pick me up a car?
Just got off the phone with one of my bosses in the UK. He knows I'm a subaru lad and asked if I wanted him to bring one home for me next time.
I said sure, why?
He said that they are dropping the price on the WRX 3,000-4,000 pounds to clear them out in anticipation of the redesigned models.
That's $4-6k off list kids.

Yes thats true..Subaru uk drops the prices because after the launch of the new WRx facelift version she wont be able to sell the remaining bugeye WRXs...
Differences in facelift edition in EU imported WRX
2.Schocks with multiple valves similar to Legacy schocks
5.Rpm gauge in the middle ala Sti
6.Bridgestone Potenza S03 pp tires
7.More grey alloys 7x17inch
8.4piston caliper brakes with subaru logo on them
9.Variation of interior colours
10.Wonderful front Sparco bucket seats.
All the above in the wrx version and not the sti.
Arrival in Greece of the new facelift Impreza mid.December 2002

I have to say the UK gets screwed on cars. Prices are significantly higher than in the US, and the per capita across the pond is significantly lower too.

Is it reasonable to assume, depending on inventories, that
this could happen in the US next year or thereafter when the redesign hits US shores?

im here now, but even assuming you
a) had the money
b) have the customs paperwork all ready for me
you would not be able to import the car as a street legal vehicle.
as a non-street use vehicle yes. but you'll need a whole separate license/company for that deal.
also, for the people that posted the pricing off the UK pricing - did you remember to take off VAT at 17.5%?
us Americanos don't have to pay for that you know
