Default Anyone Heard from SVXdc lately?

I haven't seen him post in about 45 days. I emailed him about a week ago and haven't heard back yet. I'm not trying to be pushy, just want to know if I should cut my harness to get my ASWC in or if I can hold out for one of his harnesses.

Thanks!

you should just wire in the ASWC harness, its only 4 wires and a ground to make steering wheel controls work. If youve never done one before open the package up and throw the book inside away, then go to Axxess Interface.com and enter your vehicle under the select vehicle drop-down and a link will appear with pictured step by step instructions

Emailed with him last week to wrap up my install. His harnesses we the fastest / easiest part of my install, and offered needed guidance.

I would wait I'm sure he will be back to you quickly.

Assume you emailed him right?

Correct. I did email him last weekend (about 9 days ago I think). I'm perfectly capable of cutting the harness and hardwiring, just trying to avoid that as it's always good to keep the capability to go back to factory without wire splices when possible IMO. Thanks guys for letting me know that he's still in the business.

I sent him an email order on Apr 17 and I'm still waiting...
He did reply on Apr 24 but it's a canned email basically saying "I got your order but I'm busy"

He did get back to me after about 10-12 days, then I received my order literally 2 days after I placed it. He's swamped with orders, but will respond.

Can anyone tell me what he does special with his harness? I'm wanting to get my new HU installed pretty soon. Just curious if I need to wait for him to respond or just go with a plain metra one.

A few extra pins for the steering wheel controls.

He supplies the pinouts on his web site, so you could add them to the Metra harness if you can come up with pins of the right size.

Give him a good 10 days. He is very busy right now, but he will respond. His harness just saves you from having to tap into factory harness for SWC like previously stated.

Took about 10 days for me to hear back from him about 3 weeks ago. Maybe try to e-mail him again next week. It is holiday weekend this weekend in the states, so he could be on vacation.

Yep same here. It will take a few weeks but then almost instant service thereafter.

Im also waiting, I emailed on june 16th originally requesting a harness to do the nav swap into a non-nav car.

I did get a response on june 23rd, but it looked like one he emailed to everyone requesting info on that swap. I emailed back 5 minutes later, but sadly, still no response.

Does anyone know what other harness options there are since SVXdc is super busy? I've been waiting for over a month and was really hoping to get the FT installed soon since I cannot stand the '13 wrx hu

You do know you will lose your steering wheel controls right? In my last Subaru I installed the radio with a metra harness and it was an absolute nightmare. Dave's harness's are really the only way to go imo. I just don't like to install parts twice if I don't have to and his harness makes installation a breeze.

I'm just going to use his diagrams and tap into the stock harness for the steering wheel controls. Shouldn't be difficult as he has it all lined out. Trust me it would be easier to use his, but when I haven't heard anything and others emailed after have received theirs what am I supposed to do. I have a stereo sitting here and I want it in my car.

I heard from SVXdc last night. He had thought he included me on an email, but I wasn't on it. Very stand up guy, and I went ahead and ordered my harness!
