Default Narrowbody Fender Flares??? (08-10 wrx)

Whats up Narrowbody Fam?

As many of you know, there is a serious lack of exterior goods for our cars. In trying to change this, I spoke with a company/gentleman willing to make some fender flares for us 08-10 narrowbody wrx/impreza owners... We're looking at roughly $475-525 a set shipped to your door (coming from the uk, and no its not ht autos)... He's currently finishing up a project and then hopefully can begin on these. I do not have pics at the moment, but I will try to keep this thread updated with pics when and if this proceeds.

Trying to gauge the amount of interest at the moment. So if you could, please, let me know if you're interested in a set so I can pass along the info and hopefully get these made!!

Update 2/14/14: He has agreed to make them and is currently trying to source a narrowbody wrx.

Update 6/13/14: Pics!!

Update 7/17/14: Flares are available for purchase!!

For those that dont know the flares are produced by ABW Motorsport out of the UK
http://www.abwmotorsport.co.uk/
https://www.facebook.com/ABWMOTORSPORTDESIGN

Set of 4 flares is 150 GBP= $256.67 USD*

Shipping per set is 60 GBP= $102.67 USD*

Grand total= $359.34 USD*

If 5 of you live close to one another and want to save some money on shipping its 80GBP = $136.89 USD* to have those 5 sets shipped together

I dont know how soon they'll be on the website but he said we can paypal him at d.bezant@btopenworld.com... just tell him you want the new 08-10 wrx fenders flares and Chris sent you in the notes. He'll know whats going on.

(*based on current (7/17/14) exhange rate of 1 GBP = $1.71 USD)

They look good so far is that the finish product minus paint? I do think the could be longer at least down to the side skirts and bumpers. Maybe even down to the extended portion of the bumpers. Sort of like the fender flares for the 04-05 models that I've seen.

I do like them though. What are your wheel specs? Extending them further would also assist in preventing the tires from kicking rocks and other road debri up. I like the paint on my doors lol.

These are not the finished product, just what he has so far. I could talk to him about extending them further down; however, they will probably not extend past the side extensions as to allow aero and not aero kit narrow bodies to utilize these...

Wheel specs are 18x10 +20

Wow those flares look excellent. In my mind and for my use I would change nothing about them. I like how subtle they are.

Though I really really do love it. I want them to go down to the skirts both front and rear.

More like this:

I like those :O couple questions though

1. How are they attached?
2. Do you need to cut your fenders? (probably not?)
3. How much do they extend the fender in both the front and rear?
4. Is the front bumper removable when these are installed?

When I spoke with him on Friday it was late and he was not at the shop, he thought they were 265/35, but they seem too meaty on the 10" IMO to be a 265... Im guessing probably a 285 or so... I'll find out for sure this week...

I'll talk to him about doing another version that extend further down since we seem to have a 50/50 split

You do not NEED to cut them per say, but doing so will allow for a larger wheel/tire...Didnt ask about how much they extend, I believe somewhere around 2", will get you answer hopefully this week... From the way he was talking on Friday it seems you will have the option between either a double sided tape version or rivet version... With the rivet version the front bumper will be easily removable, the double sided tape would not... I'll discuss with him possibly making the front flares 2 pieces as to allow for this option...

So pretty much Im stuck with stock tire sizes(sizes I could run with no modification) if I don't cut. I would love these however I don't see myself driving my 2.5i forever and there isn't really a huge market for preowned modified 2.5is.
