Default Konig Oversteer mod idea, yay or nay?

So, I ordered my WRX and had some idea's and thought I'd ask what you all thought about them?

It's a forum...some will like, some won't...and that's OK.

An idea on the rims I ordered:

Standard:

My idea:

Example difference: (forgive my rush job, front modded...rear standard)

Noted! Lol

I'm trying to get rid of the double ring effect, keep the focus on the design of the rim without the double ring background.

But thanks for your vote!

I think I'm going to do it! But, in vinyl so that if I don't like it I can remove it. Like in this video:

I just want to cover the rear of the rim, not the front. The question is...before or after the tires are installed? The reason...when they balance the rims and add weights, how does that adhere to the surface f the rim?

Here is another example of my idea with the color WRX I will be getting. I hope our fellow forum member does not mind me using his picture...

Stock, Konig Oversteer, Konig Oversteer modified (PLUS, smoked rear taillights)

I kinda like it. Sort of makes the wheels look bigger then they are too.

Exactly! That is the point of it all, that rear "lip" has the effect of making it look smaller so I thought blacking out the rear "lip" would make it look much better overall...bigger.

The question is, should it be glossy or not? I'm thinking no so that it can better blend into the background.

That band is there for strength. First good bump and your wheels separate.

Bad idea.

i think it looks neat; if you can find a way to make it durable once you've decided you like it...could be pretty cool. just would hate to have to deal with it peeling off or something

I would probably do matte if it were me. You might get reflections of car parts if they are glossy and would ruin the effect you are going for.

Exactly, that's why I'm thinking plastidip or even vinyl to make sure I like it first, IF...it's not too expensive. Frankly...I need to slow down on the future mods lol.
