Default CEL code: P0101

The CEL in my 1995 Legacy wagon came on a few days ago, then went off after a handful of starts and some driving. It did the same thing again after a couple days, and is now off. Both times, the car ran perfectly -- not a hitch or a burp that I could feel. BTW, the car has 246K miles on it, and it has the original engine.

I checked the fault code and it is P0101: "Mass or volume circuit range performance problem." Any thoughts on what could be throwing this code? The car really is running very well, about as good as it ever has.

Thanks!

Bob

Just bumping this. Anyone have any thoughts? The car continues to run well and the CEL has stayed off for the past 10 days or so.

Sound like a dirty or damaged mass air flow sensor filament
