Post Looking for Opinions on Diameters for nitrous use

I'm still in my planning phase and am stuck between two options. 1) wait for supercharger or 2) Get Cams, Intake and run Nitrous. I don't Auto - X but I may hit the track occasionally. A full exhaust system is a given regardless of which option. If I only plan on using the Nitrous at the track would I be better of going with 2.25" exhaust system or 2.5". If I get a 2.5" how it affect the car while off Nitrous (which will be 75 - 80% of the time).

Default Try Nitrous First

and see if it does what you want. The nitrous is way more effective than the cams. I like my stock, quiet, non-CEL exhaust just fine.

I was still looking into an a full exhaust like MRT , if they ever come in SS and without CEL issues. I guess it all depends on how much money I have at the time. I 'll just get a nitrous kit with a progressive controller similar to the Venom VCN 2000 for now. I still think I may need at least a cat-back. When the car is paid for in 3 yrs I may go with an engine swap.

Just to share some set-up ideas...I have an N.O.S. brand dry kit and an intake so far. That's it. I just ordered a full MRT exhaust and header, so I'll let you know how that all works together.

I think it only comes in a 2.25 in. diameter. That's what I've seen from posts here. We'll see....

I have nitrous and and exhaust on my RS. The exhaust helped both on and off the nitrous. Mostly on the nitrous at the top end of gears. Car pulls hard all the way to redline now. Just my findings. Will have the car dynoed on the nitrous here in a few more weeks and will let you guys know.

BTW: I have the Greddy Evo cat back on my car
