Exclamation HELP!!! Moving To Jersey: need place to live

I got a job in Morristown and I need to find a place QUICK. If anyone lives in that area and can reccomend an apartment or needs a temporary roomate please let me know. Im a 22 year old male. I'm not making that much money but I could probably afford $850 a month including all the utilities. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

in NNJ, that might get you a half a box that you will have to timeshare with 4 other people.
I commute up to morristown from brick. 80 miles one way. the more south you go, the more available cheaper apt's are. I rent a 2 bedroom hous on the metedeconk river with a nice yard and pay less than what you stated.
good luck with a place.

where in morristown will you be working?

I have seen some Studios in Montclair for like 850 on Church St. Dont know if that includes utils though. You may be able to share a place though if you can find a roomate. I currently live a decent size apartment for 1300 split 2 ways plus utils.

Definitely gonna be tough to find something in that price range on your own, but you should be able to do it.

Look in the middlsex, somerville, raritan area. Most appartments in the middlesex area are around $600.00 -$800.00 a month. Just make sure that your near 287, cause then it will only take you about 20 mins to get to work.

I live in morristown. i am only 19 and still live with my parents. I can tell you this, that it is a complete rip off to live in this town. over a $1000 a month for a 1 bedroom hole in the wall. if you need anyone to show you around town or want to know more about the wonderful town of morris, PM me.

Yeah, all nice fancy stuff, one good colombian place, one good puruvian place. A broke SOB like me cannot afford a $20 lunch everyday. The other option is italian take out / pzza place, or cluck-u chicken, or chinese... All those plces are crap. Lenny's is an ok sub, and Mr B's makes a good burger, but its still a 9 dollar lunch or dinner.

I dont mean to be rant full, but i hav't eaten all day, and ordering food to the office gets expensive, and isn't as good as back home.

Ya just had Cluck U today.. wasn't too bad.. Everything you get in Mo Town seams to be soo damn expensive... L'Appito is pretty good.. Not sure if they deliver though but its right across the street from me... Green onion forget it... a piece of chewing gum is more of a meal and doesn't cost you 6 bucks... the Creamery supposedly isn't too bad.. Arthur's has good hamburgers... and Long Johns is good for subs...

There are apartments in a Marlton or Morristown..I forget which town..called Fox Meadow...I think it's about $850 a month or less, get a roomate, you'll need it to cut costs.

Friend of mine lives there with his dad, pretty nice apartments some of them

I live on Midland avenue about a 5 minute walk to The Office on Bloomfield. Used to live on Park St and paid like 1060 for a small 1 br on the 3rd floor of a house.....SUCKED! This time I took my time finding a place and I was able to find a pretty big 2 Br for 1300. I moved in October, and from what I hear the rents drop around this time b/c ppl normally try to rent them out in the summer monts but when they cant they drop the price.

Good Luck

You can get a fairly decent 1bdr place for 850. Or you can go further west and it should be cheaper.

I agree, I live in Middlesex and work in Morristown but you can forget 287 in the morning. I'll show you how to cut through the great swamp (back roads). It is a shorter commute and much more turbo freindly

I NEVER hit traffic and can usually exploit my WRX en route.

PM Samirr76, he lives right outside of Morristown and is looking for a roommate.

Here's the thread:

HERE

Pretty nice place I know a few people that live in that complex. Might do in a pinch for a place to stay, apts in that area are hard to comeby sometimes.

Samir is trying to rent a bedroom down by Philly, his commute would be over two hours with traffic.

that's outside of MOORESTOWN. in Mount Holly. not close at all to Morristown.

and according to friends of me and my gf, "Fox Ghetto" is not a place you want to live. unless the regular discoveries of dead bodies doesn't faze you...
