Was just checking out the event's page on FB. They recommend arriving between 8 and 9. I'm going to do some route planning and get back here shortly.

Well… We have tons of options (as far as a route). It will be roughly a 2 hour drive depending on where we (you) start. I live in Yucaipa and so does another participant (I need to get his NASIOC name and add it to the count) so the 2 hours is from there.

I think the first meeting spot should be in San Bernardino so people from the mountains and surrounding areas can join. Perhaps in front of SBR indoor karting, on Club Center dr. They will not be open early so we will not interfere with their parking/business.

Second meeting spot could be K1 speed, on Ontario Mills Parkway in Ontario. People coming from the high desert, Rancho, etc, could meet us here. Again, would not interfere with K1 at an early hour.

From there we could take the 15 south to the 91.

I'm in! I'll meet you guys in Berdoo. A stop in Ontario to pick up some more folks would be cool. I posted in the HD thread on SCS about meeting up to merge the 2 groups. They usually have about 10 cars or more.

Was thinking 6am at SBR indoor karting with a 6:10 departure. That would put us at K1 speed in Ontario at about 6:35 and we could depart there at 6:45.

We could then travel the 15, to the 91, to the 57, to the 22.

That would put us at "the Solstice" at approximately 8:15 (according to mapquest).

I guess I might not be in....that's actually kind of out of the way for me unless you guys come all the way across on the 91 since I'm in Culver City.

I'll try to ask some of the guys at the next meet we have in Encino.

If you do this and get off at an exit where 405 and 710 cross, I could probably join you with 1 or 2 others.

See if you can find anything. I took a brief look on my phone and couldn't find much. This spot is kinda "ghetto" but if all else fails, it could work just to meet up.

I'm in if I don't have to work. Another good spot to meet is at Food 4 Less in san bernardino. Its off the 215 on 2nd st. There's plenty of space and there's a chevron in the lot in case anyone needs to fill up.

Sounds good. How many cars are coming from PS? Route and details are not final here, open to any input.

I'm in. I live in Corona by the 91 and 71. If you need suggestions on where to stop for the Corona and Chino area people let me know. But ya the 91 to 55 to 22 route is the best way into LB. I take that route to work in LB everyday as is the least crowded.

Looks like we are talking about 2 different events. Their thread and FB page is referencing "subiefest" on Sept 20th. The 3S IE caravan is for the Summer Solstice on June 29th. Are they planning on doing a caravan to both?

I've heard Compton is beautiful this time of year. LOL

Looking at google earth right now, trying to scope out a meeting spot.

How about the Taco Bell at 6730 Cherry ave. Its just off of the 91 (north side), 2 exits east of the 710, and only 5 miles from your recommended spot. There is plenty of parking (adjacent strip mall) and looks to be a lot less sketchy. Del Amo looks more industrial and further from the freeway.

20 min drive from here to Solstice

I think a better spot for stop #2 would be the Chevron at 1090 Ontario Mills dr. It is at the corner of 4th and Ontario Mills dr, and at the off ramp for those coming south on the 15 from the high desert.

Much easier to get to (instead of K1) and people might need fuel at this point (coming from the HD or PS areas).

I'll put together new travel/stop times once I get some feedback on these changes
