It's for sale as in in the classifieds for a good price as is. It had liability ins. so you get the parts for a steal basically. If I had an RS or a GD WRX, I would snatch it up. We are only trying to make money back so I can put Tessa in a '15 STI with a good down payment. She is going through losing her baby, so please, no rude remarks guys. Also, no jokes about my two totaled Subarus. They saved my life. This one saved her life.

Thanks Guys n Gals,

Gabe

I have an 8yr old little girl and I find that comment greatly offensive and insensitive. Do you have kids? Most of us are on this forum because we do love our cars. My daughter grew up in that sti, and when I'm on a joy ride its only me. So eat it genius.

So by a the same argument you're the only mom that girl has..... 1000's of accidents happen a day and not every one is so fortunate to come home. Judging by the size of those boulders that was a very near miss........

Do it in a safe and controlled environment is all I'm saying....... We all love cars and some of us push them harder than others. There are some much safer settings that'll allow you to do that legally.

Everyone makes bad decisions and mistakes. It's whether you keep making those same ones over and over or hopefully you learn from them before they catch up with you.

Drive safe for your little girls sake......whether she is in the car or not.

I had a very similar experience with my first WRX, and I am glad to hear that you are okay.

Everyone makes mistakes but only a select few ever take the time to truly learn, grow, and evolve from the opportunity.

I enjoy my Subaru through autocross, if you ever decide to get into the sport I would be more than happy to help you get involved.

Evo comes with Bluetooth standard as well. Backup camera is a dealer option.

Sir, are you insinuating I was under the influence? Well for all the inquiring minds, I was not drunk, had not been drinking. I did not get a dwi, I think that's proof. It was a Monday evening around 5:00 when I had the accident. It was driver error and I do not intend on ever doing it again, nor driving the twistys next to my house or otherwise. It almost cost me my life and I put an irresponsible emotional toll on my family as well. I just buried a good friend to a drunk driver not a month ago. He was walking home from 7th street to his apt. downtown. He was ran down by a drunk driver, who then ran from the scene but the cops got the drunk. We had been friends since middle school. Whatever your opinion of me may be just know I'm a strong advocate against drinking and driving.

As for autocross, yes I will keep it on the track from now on under controlled conditions and yes I may need the details for the Austin autocross meets. I already have a helmet. I have been out of the subaru community in Austin for sometime due to being naive and believing certain members were really friends.

I want to thank the rest of you for your well wishes and yes even your lectures.

I would lock this thread and let it go. Seems like it's becoming more drama than anything at this point.

You folks should get a real grip on exactly what you want to do with the car at this point. I left some comments on the fire sale thread that could help.

I hope you've made a good recovery at this point. Get you're mind on getting the car sold if that's what you're going to do and move forward and put this behind you

The hood is available, it is a little rough, but apparently it is worth 28k

300HP with a stage 2 tune on the 2015 WRX!

Wonder how far off the cliff that would launch you? We could put distance markers in place for reference and goals to beat.

First we would have to cut that oak down at the bottom of the cliff. That oak stopped me this time and I think it will every time. I have already blazed the trail so I'm betting I can beat my first distance.

As for the hood.. that's a firm 28k! Don't worry about that hole in it or the scratches, I'm sure those will buff right out.
