Default feedback knock?

Once in awhile I'm seeing a reading of -1.4 and sometimes a reading as high as -4.2 should I be concerned? It's only at low rpms right before boost. Never get any reading at wot. And it's completely random some days I don't get anything. And my dam or fine knock never change.

Often times, engine noise and quick changes in load (I.E, Spoolup) can be picked up as knock by the sensor. Most times it isnt actually knock. If your getting some during spoolup, it may be a tip-in enrichment fix, but if your not seeing any once your WOT and in full boost, thats the sign of a healthy tune. From time to time you should see noise getting picked up at lower loads. Its a good sign that your knock sensor is working as its supposed to.

Try and capture this knock in a log and post it up here for further analysis.

It never does it when I log of course but it does seem to do it under a load just before boost and never in full boost under wot.

Could also be some bad gas maybe? Where do you normally fill up at?

I am getting the same -1.4. I was able to duplicate it in 5th gear when accelerating about 1/2 throttle as the turbo is spooling. Running Stage 1 cobb (91 oct stock intake, stock exhaust setting) until I install my downpipe/intake. I always fill up 91 supreme at chevron.

To the OP of this thread. I just read this
HTML Code:

and it was very informative. I would suggest taking a look so that you can be at ease.
