There is a discussion taking place in the motosport forum:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2589104

As I said there, the entire twitter/ustream experience for this race is absolutely fantastic. Very well done for all involved!

Tiny little boo-boo in the text on the splash page. "Win" is missing the "w"

It definitely was a success. It sucks about all the yellow flags and the slower class car hitting the car. I wish they would have more than one 24hr session to let cars of the same class duke it out properly.

I wish there was more LIVE onboard though

I didn't watch the race, but the results look like a success for Subaru to me as well. Specially if you consider that apparently Audi was allowed to mob the race with SEVEN TTs...?!?!

If Audi was only allowed one TT, then the Subbie would have come in first or second place, depending on which TT was in the race...

And if there were seven WRX STIs, things would have been different as well.

It doesn't necessarily mean that Audi itself was racing all 7 TTs. It just means there were 7 independent shops that were using the same TT platform.

So the STi car got hit?

I was live streaming it 14 hours in but it was hard to follow since some of it was in Japanese. I am slightly disappointed....

2011 Subaru
2012 Subaru
2013 Audi
2014 Audi

Subaru was hoping for their 3rd consecutive win in 2013 but weather and tire choices messed them up. This year with a new chassis, they were hoping to recapture the SP3T class...and they got 4th instead =( At least the other years they were second place in the class...

I guess they need to do some more tuning and testing with the new chassis. They also said they were surprised the TT's came back faster this year...

I hope they win 2015!

Ya... Remember the second time the STI took the class lead and was 26th overall after the two first/second TT went offroad? Just a couple of hours later while passing a lower class, the STI made contact with that other car which caused damage. Thankfully, this was at the end of someone's tour but then they decided to bring it in to the garage to patch the body and inspect the tire. From here, the two other TTs who were previously leading before their screw up passed us and the STI never was able to catch up.

I hope they win in 2015, due to the engine replacement(DI 2.0), Plus the more tuning & testing!

I would have to believe it is an immense challenge for any team fro japan to go to Germany and beat them in their own backyard. "Home field advantage" has got to be considered.

And isn't there like 10 VLN races that these other teams compete in vs sti competing in 2?

Just speaks volumes of how well sti has done the last 4 years.
