Default used viscous coupler question

Im pretty sure a worn rear wheel bearing i just replaced had something to do with my viscous coupler going bad because when i turn in or out of a parking space its hopping and making a sound as if something was lose and binding periodically.
Anyway, i have the original tranny set aside still after upgrading to the 04 tranny but it looks like the clip is in there in pieces and theres some chipped teeth on the gears inside the diff.

THE MAIN QUESTION: the VC from the old tranny was smooth when i took the tranny out but should i not use it because there was some metal floating around or can i clean it good some how and re use it? The bearing on the outside of the VC is still smooth

the diff had NOTHING to do with killing the bearing

and the 04 trans wasnt any sort of 'upgrade' regardless of what anybody thinks

fantasy

I dont think the diff wore the bearing, i think the bearing had some part of the VC going bad because the tire on that wheel is worn more than the others showing there was drag on that wheel.

It's probably fine to use. Every trans I've drained has had some degree of metal shaving.

Ignore the douchebaggery. That guy doesn't think through issues before trolling.

I never said anything about taking it apart stay out of my thread a hole. I meant clean what i can thats exposed because theres small chunks of a few teeth off the gears in the diff... i think im gonna use it seeing as it was good when i pulled that tranny and i have access to a lift to do it myself

the OP obviously does not know what he is asking or wanting

I CAN NOT HELP THAT.

Pretty much all i wanted to know is if more experienced people think i should toss the VC because there was pieces of gear floating around. i did do some research and i do realize the VC is phase 2 and only phase 1 can be rebuilt. Phase 2 is 99 up or 99-07 and cant be rebuilt. It does however look like pieces can get in the gears that are exposed in the middle of the unit. I really dont wanna be in a internet tough guy match so im gonna carry on
