Question Shorter dipstick option for 02 wrx

Is there a shorter option for 02 wrx transmission dipstick? Factory or aftermarket. I like how the 6 speed on is small. Wondering if there is any options to change from the oem dipstick.
Thanx

I believe the n/a 5MT applications have a shorter trans oil dipstick. Sort of a stubby plastic handle rather than the extended metal one you probably have on your WRX. Not really certain if the dipsticks are interchangeable or not though. Can't recall if the oil filler tube is the same lengths or not. Hmm.

Cut it off. It would look stupid then. As well I don't want the lower part to fall off in the trans.

d00000000000000000d...are you a ricer????

well....sorry but if this is bothering you....you maybe ought to think about your thought process rather than replacing the dipstick

and if you dont understand HOW to cut it off without destroying it....maybe modding isnt for you

i could shorten the handle portion....re curl the end and paint it in 15 minutes....and have time for a beer and a cigarette

Is there something wrong with me not wanting to cut it...

Isn't there a replacement option that is plug and play by now?

first off, why would anyone want to replace the dipstick? is there something physically wrong with it? And why would there be a replacement option for dipsticks let alone one that needs to be plug and play? Probably the same reason to why there isn't one for a oil level dipstick. It does its job perfectly and doesn't need to be modified. Also if you didn't notice, the dipstick is all metal, using one from a non-turbo with a plastic handle can possibly melt/get brittle from the heat of being so close to the downpipe.

Fyi there is one for the engine oil dipstick, IAP. Like my tread says. Smaller handle. As I have other things near it causing problems on access.
