Its all made to the Jap Spec cars so it wont fit unless you take off the crash beam... I currently have the rally style bumper and am still searching endlessly for a SAFE replacement for the beam. So far, NO LUCK

Nothing will be as safe as OEM.

I know but I'm thinking maybe I'll go fmic/w crash beam, as well as AMS replacement crash bar and the Front Member Power Brace from Cusco. Hopefully that would be enough protection to compensate?

Any thoughts on that route would be appreciated!

Unless you're using a ~gt30 or larger I wouldn't even be using an fmic.

just an FYI - a "bully bar" can be extremely dangerous if you ever got into an accident.

He said he's got a ton of different material not necessarily tubing that we can go through and choose. He's basically gonna fab a brand new crash beam rather than just a "bully bar"

Would this bumper work on a 2012 hatch with a txs fmic?

Nope. The specified bumper above is for narrow bodied wrxs and possibly an impreza. The 2011+ wrx has a wider body like the sti.
