Shopping in HK - help!!

Does anyone know or can recommend any places to shop for motorsport related stuff in Hong Kong?

I'm looking for motorsport gear, wear and/or equipment.

I think the helmets in HK are not rated the same as in North america so they won't be allowed to use here. I think they use SNELL rather than DOT.

Snell standards are tougher than CPSC, DOT, etc. Besides, auto-x and track events usually require some sort of Snell certification like SA85, 95 or 2000. Check out www.snellfoundation.org for more info.

most helmuts in HK are now DOT approved as well...at least all the arai ones are...go to "hung hing...." somethin or rather..its in "kao long sing" i dont remember haha..aybe someone else knows

I'm actually hoping to find "wear" and "gear" as in gloves, jackets, hats...... team wear related.

Oh THOSSSSSSSSSE...then depends on what kinda gears, equipment u are looking for. Say what teams and geniune or not. Post it up and let me know I got some places that I know of.

Yeah Kingsmart got jackets too as I remember I saw those in their advertisement. Like Subaru, Toyota rally teams' replica jacket. Ask reset where he got his Subaru jacket from if u're looking for those.

I'm actually hoping to pick up rally team replica jackets and hats. Also hoping to find pit crew uniforms and badges. Geniune or not, I don't really mind. As long as they spell it correctly and have the proper logos.

My brother mentioned that there's a couple of blocks that are dedicated to motorsport stuff in HK. Anyone know where that is?

Speaking of rally stuff in HK... anyone know if there is any rally clubs in HK?

Also - I'm hoping to find somewhere in HK or close by in China where I can rent tracktime and a car - any leads?

Should try to get some suspension bits whilst u r in HK! There are some places u can try in Mong Kok. If u can, try to take a HK friend with u, who's also a Cantonese speaker. Unless you want to be a walking $$$$ in the eyes of the shop owners! Be careful not to get ripped off...good luck

Yeah relica team clothing, go for a shop in Mongkok "Chiu Law Duck Qui"(Trendy area) shopping centre. It's at the intersection of Nathan Road and "Dundas" St. U can get off @ Mongkok's MTR station and take the "E" exit as I remember. Anyway the "Sai Yeung Choi" street exit. There is a shop at the basement of that mall.

Also there is another one just in the same block as Crazy Racing. Very small one. Located on "Hak Bo" Street(Black Cloth Street).

For track time and rent a car etc. Go to: www.chinamotorsport.com and www.frdsports.com and see if that would help.

Yeah the one in basement level "Trendy Zone" and another one i know is near the "Mack Far Son" Field, which is a hard floor soccer field. Give that a try!
